Tonight, (week night ) we ordered for 6-7 people. It was for a family celebration. Butter chicken, rice & sides were all good but the chicken tikka was not edible. The pieces were not fresh, extremely dry, rubbery, & appeared to have been reheated. All 3 containers of chicken went into the garbage. It was a big part of the dinner. We were very disappointed tonight.View more
We had two chaats. Bombay bhel & Bombay papari chaat. Both were fridge cold & didn't taste good. Ingredients weren't fresh. Then we had tandoori roti & baingan bharta. The only thing we liked is the tandoori roti. Big, hot & fresh. Barta had barely any baingan in it. It felt like generic tomato & onion sauteed with overcooked baingan pieces in it. Anywyas. We finished this disappointing experience with masala chai. Again this was good. So two stars. One for tandoori roti & the other star is for masala chai. We don't recommend this place.View more
Great restaurant! It was our 1st visit & it won't be the last! Food was fresh & delicious. We could see the spotless kitchen. Our host & hostess were more than nice; they were dynamic, attentive & were able to propose different plates that were divine! We live in HOMA, so we ordered more for home; they took care of seperating a couple of ingredients to make sure it didn't get ''mooshy''. WOW, impressed. We live far but they are so worth it! We'll come back with the kids! Thank you Bombay Choupati!
By far the best indian restaurant in Montreal (so far!). Food is really authentic, with distinct fresh flavours & not your typical fad dishes. There are some dishes that i had never had, e.g. papri chat. So.. some true discoveries to be had.
It is not a very big place but they are very accomodating. Waiter is lovely, despite being rushed off his feet. Cooks also pop their faces out at times & are lovely & smiley too. You can tell this is fresh home-made food with love. Will definitely go again & try the rest.
I found this restaurant through Urban Spoon because we were running errands in that area, & got hungry. Checked out what was in the area & found this restaurant with its good reviews. Love Indian, but am always skeptical of 'planted' reviews, so we went in not expecting it to live up to the good reviews. BUT - it was truly fantastic. Had Masala Dosa, which I'd never tried before - amazing. Won't bother with samosas anymore... this was much more delicious, delicate & fresh. Butter chicken was super. Prices were really great, & the plates allowed us to have a variety of items (butter chicken, vegetable curry, naan, rice - all delicious) for less than I would spend on the main item in other restaurants. Service was really pleasant (must admit we lucked out because we got there in the mid-afternoon, so restaurant was empty when we arrived, filling up as we left) - very nice gentleman served us. So all in all an awesome discovery. Definitely recommending to friends.
Absolutely amazing!!! Both the service & the food. They have many choices on the menu that other indian restaurants don't have. Less greasy than most indian places. Food is always fresh & full of flavour. Many vegetarian options as well. Really recommended!! Along with a super friendly staff. Very casual & comfortable place
