Nous avons appelé notre restaurant Bistro Nolah, un diminutif de Nouvelle Orléans, par amour de la cuisine réconfortante servie dans le sud des États-Unis. Ce style de nourriture sera l'inspiration derrière certains plats qui seront servis chez Nolah.
Les avis présentent Bistro Nolah comme un endroit chaleureux et accueillant, avec une ambiance Nouvelle-Orléans et un service attentif. La carte met en valeur les classiques créoles et du Sud tels que le gumbo, le jambalaya, les crevettes et grits, le poulet frit, le brisket braisé et le poisson-chat, avec plusieurs plats salués pour leurs saveurs riches et leur cuisson parfaite. I went with my family for mother's day brunch. I can't wait to go back for dinner. If you go with kids, order the fruits, chicken & French toast.
Update. I finally went for dinner & my experience was so different. It felt like they needed to get rid of us since we went in but I had a reservation. They gave us an awful table for 2, the one just in front of the bar where all waiter & the owner stand to talk...so we requested another one & they gave us a deadline. I heard a waiter harassing a lady next us, where was her party since he had a 4 seat table & she was alone. Food was great but small & high prices. I am changing my 5 star review to meh.
The brunch was absolutely delicious, n flavourful even my kids loved the pancakes n fried chicken. A sweet charm of a place. Only small issue was that because the place is small i felt a bit rushed towards the end for other reservations. I will definately be going back for dinner & brunches.

Nourriture délicieuse & excellent service , c'était notre 2e visite!
La musique est trop forte à mon goût par contre.
On a hâte d'essayer le menu brunch la prochaine fois :)
*********Be warned. Went on Sunday for lunch, they only have brunch offered. No where on the website do I see it stating this. Went for food on their menu & was stuck with brunch/breakfast. Not impressed. Thank you for the response. But when I see a restaurant that is open from 10am to 14pm on a website, I would consider going at 12pm being lunch. So if you were to update your website to specifically say there is only brunch, there wouldn't be any mistakes.
Troisième visite & toujours aussi satisfaite. Le repas était délicieux, le service impeccable du début à la fin. Le menu brunch sort de l'ordinaire...on est loin du 2 oeufs bacon. L'été, la terrasse est superbe; un portion couverte permet de manger à l'extérieur même en cas de pluie.
X-cellent. Period. Lobster, shrimp'salad' ain't a salad, eats like one of best tartares around. Superb gumbo, crab cakes, oysters, bread, fried chicken, jambalaya, desserts etc etc...Plenty of parking, great staff, brunch equally good....one of best in west, enjoy. We do.

Our brunch at Bistro Nolah was honestly amazing. We ate at the bar & every dish hit perfectly. We went for the surf & turf Benedict with salmon & beef & the Southern Breakfast. It was unreal. Everything tasted very flavourful, looked great, & made the whole meal unforgettable. We felt extremely welcomed & big thanks to Dominic for the great customer service & hospitality.
I had the most delicious brunch at Nolah, they are located at blue haven. Very cozy, original, well priced, family owned, but most of all excellent service. Highly recommend.
My husband & I went to Bistro Nolah for our anniversary dinner. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a different place. The atmosphere is so zen, the decor brings you to New Orleans.
We have the grits & jambalaya as appetizers. I always wanted to try grits, but never had the chance. These grits will make you slap your mama. They are tasty, smooth & full of flavour. I could eat it morning, noon & dinner, with snacks in between. If I could, I would've sneaked in the kitchen to take the rest of it home.
The jambalaya has the perfect blend of spice & flavour.
Main course: brisket & catfish. The brisket comes with mashed potatoes & mushrooms, surrounded by two different types of sauce.
The catfish lays on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes.
Again, both dishes are packed with flavour & a right size portions.
Desserts: chocolate torte & bread pudding. One word: Decadent.
What I loved about the menu is the amount of gluten free items.
The food is well worth the price. Bravo Chef Richard! We will definitely return for brunch.
Thank you to all of the attentive & lovely staff who made brunch an unforgettable experience for our family & one of our highlights of visiting Montreal. Food was outstanding, hats off to the phenomenal chef!
Best brunch spot in Montreal! We started off with Bread Pudding Pancakes & levitated to heaven. Then we got the Southern grits with poached eggs & chorizo & the angels started singing. By the time we finished our guava mimosa & the pancake bourbon sauce we couldn't come back down. Coming back fosho 🥞

Our brunch at Bistro Nolah was an absolute delight, enjoyed on their charming outdoor terrace. The dishes were nothing short of extraordinary-we indulged in the exquisite surf & turf Benedict & the perfectly crisp fried chicken Benedict, complemented by a half plate of ham egg Benedict & a decadent side of praline bacon. Each bite showcased high-quality ingredients & impeccable presentation, making for an unforgettable experience.
Second time going, this time for brunch. It was a nice brunch, but menu not available online to know what you're getting. Menu also does not include lighter options that are on the healthier side, ex no omelettes or lighter fare. Fried chicken, fish tacos, briskette (which was a little too spicy for breakfast & the menu didn't indicate a spice level). More of a lunch than a brunch. The fried chicken was outstanding however & so was the French toast. Also very filling, unlike their dinner menu which serves up smaller portions.
Went last week with a group. Service was above & beyond. Started with spicy margaritas, & wanted to continue. Food to die for. Will absolutely be back. The shrimp & grits are the best I've ever had. Oysters were large & juicy. & fish cakes were great off the chalkboard menu. Can't wait to get back for brunch.
