Review Summary

Reviewers describe Bistro Jaybi as a standout Jamaican spot with consistently delicious flavors, especially jerk chicken with rice and beans, plantain, and oxtail, along with tender griot and fresh pikliz; portions are generous and the prices are good value. Service comes quickly and orders often arrive reliably, including delivery, and many call it a hidden gem worth visiting. Some feedback mentions grease or occasional inconsistencies in the dining area cleanliness, but overall the consensus is that the food is bold, satisfying, and well worth trying for those seeking hearty Jamaican fare at accessible prices.

I recently tried this restaurant for the first time, & overall, it was a great experience. The oxtail plate was absolutely delicious-the meat was tender, falling right off the bone, & packed with rich, savory flavor. The jerk chicken was just as impressive, fresh & full of that perfect balance of spice & taste. The plantains were also a highlight, well-seasoned & cooked just right.

I also tried the jerk burrito. While it was definitely tasty, I did find that it could have used more meat, as there was a bit too much rice in comparison. That said, it didn't take away from the overall experience or my rating.

This was my first time trying this spot, & it definitely won't be my last. Looking forward to ordering more & exploring more of the menu!

ordered a griot plate & a jerk chicken plate with extra meat from Uber Eats. The extra meat was missing, which was the first problem. The jerk chicken shouldn't even be called jerk chicken because it didn't taste like it at all. The rice was okay. The griot platter was alright, not the best I've ever had, but not the worst either. The rice sauce lacked flavor. The pikliz didn't taste like pikliz, more like horseradish. & the portion of macaroni salad was really small.

I ordered through Uber Eats & tried the jerk chicken fried rice & the griot, both of which were delicious! The best griot I've had so far. Will definitely be ordering again in the future, thank you!

They catered our wedding & were very accommodating with our diet needs & choices of menu. Incredible food. Everyone's plate was clean, clean not single grain of rice left on the plate. No meat left on the bone. Highly recommend if you need an event catered. Highly professional & simply incredible!

Unfortunately, it is not what it used to be. The place was dirty & looked messy & old. The protein portions were smaller it seemed they tried to compensate it with rice.

Griot & rice was unseasoned, the jerk rice had very little meat.
