Ingredients such as rice, plantains, beans, cassava, cilantro, peppers, chickpeas, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and coconuts, among others, are used extensively. A particular seasoning called Mojo is used in the food which is made of garlic, onions, scotch bonnet peppers, celery, green onions and herbs like coriander, marjoram, rosemary, tarragon and thyme.
Apart from that, you will find a wide range of non-vegan ingredients like chicken, steak, but especially seafood. In addition, the food is rarely oily and fried but often smoked and grilled. We've eaten numerous times at Bistro Jaybi & the food never misses ! They've been experimenting a special menu like on Tuesday it's griot tacos (10/10) that come with a tomatillo sauce & piklis, they also had a griot souvlaki (9.5/10), the griot pizza ( 10/10)& we still need to try the griot poutine & sushi ! Quantité très minimes pour le prix. J'ai commander un plat griot/jerk chicken qui ne ressemblais aucunement à du jerk & plus de riz que de viande..nourriture bonne & goûteux mais quantité très decevent. Unfortunately, it is not what it used to be. The place was dirty & looked messy & old. The protein portions were smaller it seemed they tried to compensate it with rice.View more

Cette année j'ai fait affaire avec ce traiteur pour l'anniversaire de mes enfants ( octobre & décembre 2023). Les commentaires sont unanimes; la bouffe est excellente! Les invités ont été ravis & conquis. Surtout par le poulet frit & ce qu'ils ont surnommé affectueusement « le riz jamaïcain » Fraîcheur Goût Présentation Tout y était! & en plus, le service à la clientèle est A1. Toujours un plaisir de se faire chatouiller les papilles gustatives😝. Malheureusement je ne me suis jamais présentée sur place par contre à 2 reprises j’ai commandé un service de traiteur. 1 fois pour mon anniversaire ( Poutine au canard 🦆 💯) & la 2e fois Noël passer un service pour 15pers. & c’est à refaire pour d’autres occasions.
