Clam chowder: Good!
Calamari : It was good, I liked the thin batter & it was a good portion.
tartare: Very good, on par with fancy places, took the tuna & beef & it was fresh, tangy & the dijon took over on the beef one but overall great.
Bavette with chimi churri: Steak was small, juicy, tasty but i gotta say that was not chimi-churri sauce at all.
Service was okay, we had to chase our waiter but maybe it was just busy. Atmosphere was as good as you can make it in an IKEA showroom (sorry i dont know how else to describe it)
Overall it needed a little more character, I would recommend it for the tartare!
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. The food was nothing short of amazing-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly prepared. Each dish was not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making it as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm & cozy, providing the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. As for the service, it was impeccable-attentive, friendly, & efficient without being overbearing. All in all, a fantastic dining experience I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!

My new local! So happy this place opened up, run by great people. Lots of tasty options but I'm partial to the hot wings & a pint of their signature lager.
Great first experience at Bistro 22 last night! A GF & I sat at the Bar. Brittany served us. She is a skilled mixologist she can make you almost anything if you ask her! The ambiance is cozy chic, dim lighting, nice music (but not too loud) & comfy bar stools. Big screen TV's & you can reserve seating at the bar & eat there too. The food was very tasty. Reasonably priced cocktails & food! Exactly what Saint-Lazare needed forsure! Thanks Bistro 22 for a fun night!
I have dined here twice now, once for supper & a lunch with friends. The lunch was perfect, all seemed to enjoy their ample well priced portions. The clam chowder was great with lots of juicy tender clams. Dinner was a work in progress & the chef does not cook rare filet well, twice, as the first was returned. Both came on the well side of medium. The vegetables with the steak were very nicely cooked. The calamari is amazing! dessert was a very tasty gift. Service was not rushed. I recommend the restaurant just not the filet.
Food was tasty, fresh, filling & well portioned. The very large plates deceive you into thinking the portions may be small but they are definitely not. Prices are fair & staff is very friendly. No complaints & will recommend.
Delicious food, arrived hot & tasty. I would definitely recommend the generous portion of salmon tartare as an appetizer to share, & I had the penne romanoff for dinner. I loved the moody atmosphere, that really felt as if you were disconnected from the outside environment (beside highway, rest area) so that was really wonderful too. Really friendly staff. Can't wait to come back!

Bistro 22 is a must try! The food was delicious, the vibe was fun & modern, & the service was impeccable. The owners, Christina & Mike pay attention to all the little details that make the dining experience stand out. They were very friendly & accommodating of my young kids. The cocktails were delicious, the food was fresh & tasty, & our server was friendly & attentive. Standouts were the proper sour cocktail, carefully curated & well-priced wine list, that fried calamari & the most delicious cheesecake that I have ever had in my life (made in house!). Whether for an after work cocktail, family meal or date night, Bistro 22 checks all the boxes!
Our second time at Bistro 22 this weekend & it was once again phenomenal! The food was delicious. The pasta dishes were really tasty & well proportioned & the steak was cooked to perfection. Owners Mike & Christina are lovely people who made our experience a memorable one. We can't wait to return soon!!

The décor is modern & cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with friends or a special night out.
