I visited this restaurant last night & everything was genuinely fantastic - the food was fresh & delicious, the atmosphere was warm & lively, & the staff were incredibly welcoming. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while.
Unfortunately, we also witnessed an incident that really showed how hard restaurant staff have to work these days. A table of customers started arguing over a surcharge for the food they ordered but didn't eat. The staff calmly & patiently explained the policy multiple times, but the customers refused to listen. Instead, they started raising their voices & threatening the restaurant, saying they had'over 300k followers' & would leave bad reviews if the surcharge wasn't removed.
Watching it happen felt unfair - especially because the staff handled the situation with so much professionalism, even when being disrespected. It's sad how easily people can use social media clout to intimidate small businesses. These days, anyone can write a fake review & damage a business's reputation.
It also reminded me of the recent cases in Montreal where groups have been leaving fake 1-star Google reviews & then contacting businesses demanding money to remove them. It's disappointing to see tactics like that, especially when so many restaurants are working hard to offer great service.
But despite the drama caused by those rude customers, our experience was absolutely wonderful. The food, the vibe, & the staff all deserve real appreciation. I'll definitely be coming back & recommending this spot to others.
I went this sommet & it was amazing, when i went back the sushi was ridiculously small 99% rice & 1% fish, a lot of items is now unavailable of the lunch menu.. I used to go fot their torched salmon nigiri but they don't do it anymore on lunch time. The salmon tasted a bit weird, very disappointed by my last visit & it will probably be my last time
I had such a great experience at this all you can eat restaurant! The food & service were both excellent, & the vibe was cozy & inviting. Everything had a really authentic asian flavor, & the dishes came out super quickly. There was a wide variety to choose from, I especially loved the sushi & grilled meats. The meat was tender & juicy, & the sushi was fresh & delicious. I also tried some of the deep-fried dishes like fried chicken, & they were absolutely superb. Overall, an amazing meal. I'll definitely be down to go there again!
This is my all-time favorite all-you-can-eat sushi spot in Montreal, & honestly, even outside the city! I've tried pretty much all of them in the West Island, & Biru Biru is by far the freshest & best-tasting.
One of my favorite things about this place is the portion size. Most AYCE sushi spots give huge portions, so you get full after just a few dishes. But here, the portions are perfect, usually 2-3 pieces, which means you can actually try everything on the menu & reorder your favorites.
& now with the all-you-can-drink option, it's definitely the perfect birthday spot! Fresh food, great vibe, & amazing value, highly recommend!
The food has no right to be this good & yet it is EVERY FRICKEN TIME MY FRIENDS & I go there. The staff is friendly & always try to accommodate my visual impairments.
The food is so good it's makes you act like a genuine anime character eating a new delicious dish for the first time ever.
You will love it there, especially when they burn the nigiri in front of you. Mind you I'm legally bound & was caught off guard the first time it happened, but afterwards, with the right glasses, I was able to gaze in ahh & admiration as the food was prepared before me! Great place great venue & great service
