Mon ami pissemb & mon ami Paty m'avaient énormément parler de cet endroit avant mon arrivée à Montréal. Ils m'avaient dit que c'étaient les meilleurs beignets de Montréal.
Malheureusement je m'y suis rendu une première fois & il y avait plus de beignets, faute du succès aberrant de ces beignets.
Mais hier j'ai fièrement retenté l'expérience, & bah c'était le paradis du beignet, étant un énorme gourmand j'ai testé ceux à l'érable, caramel, M&M's & oreo, ils sont tous goûtus mais gros gros big up à ceux à l'érable & au caramel, c'est divinement addictif. Je suis vraiment déçu de les avoir découvert aussi tard car ils vont me manquer avec leur petit glaçage au sucre & à la fois je suis rassuré car si j'étais resté à Montréal j'aurai pu tâter la barre des 100kg avec ces conneries.
Bref c'est délicieux, pas très cher, gourmand, Bernie Beigne n'attend que votre venue.

Had a friend mention that Bernie Beigne was one of the best in the city & wanted to try it out for the first time. Though the maple bacon flavour may seem off putting at first, the combo is great. The donuts are fresh & fluffy, the glaze is sweet & the bacon added a nice crunch to the overall experience. Would definitely want to come back to try new flavours!
The fella was kind enough to throw an extra beigne in my box for me! Absolutely the best donut/donut adjacent food I have ever had. Wow. No photos. There was simply nothing left to photograph. They never stood a chance.
The most delicious donut I've had since the donut shop from my childhood closed down, including donuts from NYC & beignets from Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Insanely delicious & fresh. The way donuts should be done.
Bernie Beigne has, quite simply, the best donuts in town. Flavour, quality, value, selection - everything. These are donuts of such high quality that they are even good the next day or even the day after that! Who else can claim that?
Every single low rating here is ridiculous, unfair or insincere: 1 star because there are no vegan options? 1 star because they ran out of your favourite donut? It is truly unconscionable to give a small, local, independently-owned business 1 star here for things like that, truly shameful. Trust the other 99% of reviews here - Bernie Beigne is the BEST (& all the staff is so nice, too)!!
The beigne's were good, but honestly nothing special (I also don't like too overly sweet desserts). They did have a lot of different flavors/variety, but I stuck with the classic glaze. Seating is also limited/just standing only/no table only a bench.
The most memorable thing was the service. A younger man helped me & was so sweet & kind to me 🥹Thank you for being patient with a picky person like me & letting me try different flavors!
If you're in Montréal & love donuts, you have to try Bernie Beigne.
The apple fritter is absolutely out of this world. It's perfectly crisp on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside, & packed with real apple flavour. Every bite has that perfect balance of sweetness & texture - not overly sugary, just rich, warm, & incredibly satisfying.
You can tell these donuts are made with care. Fresh, generous, & honestly one of the best apple fritters I've ever had.
If you're anywhere near Bernie Beigne, do yourself a favour & grab one… or two. You won't regret it.
Première fois que je goûte des beignes québécoises alors quoi de mieux que de s'adresser au roi de la beigne montréalaise ! Ma fille & moi avons craqué pour une boîte de 6 beignes différents. Un délice de gourmandise ! Merci pour ce moment sucré & réconfortant.

My cousin brought me doughnuts from Bernie Beigne & I completely fell in love! You can tell they're super fresh & flavorful! Today, I placed an order myself & requested a mix.. I dove straight in, trying the boston cream (best custard I've tasted in a doughnut so far) & the double chocolate, which was really decadent. My son had a little bit of the M&M & chocolate sprinkles topped with the brownie.. he voted the M&M as his top! Can't wait to try the rest! My husband definitely loves the classics, where you can appreciate the freshness of the dough a lot more!
I had been hearing about Bernie Beigne from so many people that I finally decided to give it a try, & I am so glad I did. When I arrived, there was a lineup to enter the store, which honestly made me even more curious. It is clearly a popular spot. The place itself is pretty simple & not fancy at all, but do not let that fool you. The donuts truly stand out.
These are easily some of the best artisanal donuts you can find in the city. They are fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care.
The lineup is absolutely worth the wait. I will definitely be coming back to try more flavors.
My beautiful girlfriend has taken me here twice now, she loves me so she buys me a doughnut every time. The Simpson doughnut tastes exactly like how I imagined it would. Merci pour les Beignets
