I had the short rib seafood pappardelle & it was very good. Lots of protein, pasta cooked well & not too salty. Big portion sizes.
Stopped there for lunch with 3 young kids on a snow day, week day & the service was excellent & quick.
Restaurant avec une belle ambiance conviviale. Pas une très grande cuisine mais ils font de très bonnes ribs. Nous avons eux un très bon service avec Zoé qui était toujours à notre attention & qui venait nous parler.
The food here is always really good. I personally really enjoy their ribs, but they have good steak also & the baked potatoes are delicious.
This location is quite large so they rarely have any waiting time.
There are so many things to do in the area that it makes it a perfect spot to eat at if you're in the downtown area for a show, shopping, etc.
This opinion of for the downtown one we went to on St. Catherine Street.
We normally like to go to Baton Rouge. We always go to the one in Laval, or the one on Jockeys Street in TMR. During supper hour we went to the one on St. Catherine Street since were were down town.
What was disappointing is when we went in to the one on St. Catherine Street was after we were seated it took a very long time till the waiter came to us to take the order. I realize they were sort of busy.
We wanted to order their club sandwich. The waiter told us we cannot order the club sandwich. At the other locations we were never refused to order this type of sandwich at any time we visited for supper. We walked out without ordering anything.
We walked over to the St. Hubert BBQ. The service to get served was faster, & there was no issue to order the club sandwich!
My question is,'Why did Baton Rouge on St. Catherine St. refuse to take an order for a club sandwich?' Very disappointing. At the others we were never refused at any time we ordered. BR is supposed to be a franchised chain. It should be expected they all follow the same menu.
One thing I can say about BR is we like the food. Everything from the ribs to the steaks, salads, & etc are excellent quality. We have been going to BR for many years.

Second time.
Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar
So, this is the second time I visited Baton Rouge Restaurant at Complex Desjardins as per the
Owner's suggestion. From Owner,'We hope to see you soon so that we can serve you better.'
I was with my husband & it was his first time back since the closure.
We sat in the Bar area at a booth. I hate to say it but again it took a little while for of us to get our drinks & then our food but we enjoyed our drinks while we waited.
We did not get an entrée & we both ordered Rib Steaks. He requested his steak be well done & burnt to a crisp & I requested mine medium well. Then we both ordered the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. We also ordered one Skillet Mushrooms & one Signature Peppercorn Sauce.
Then came the food & just by looking at his steak we could tell that it was not well & as he cut into it, there was some pink. Then I cut into mine & it looked even pinker than his.
I made the suggestion to him that he should send it back & he said he would see if other parts of it was cooked better. Well, I sent mine back & it took a while he was finished his Garlic Mashed by the time I got my steak back. He said his steak upon examination was not better when he cut into it elsewhere. So again, I made the suggestion he should send it back but he refused on the grounds that it took me so long to get mine back.
I had eaten my vegetables & set up my bake potato because I had the toppings on the side when I decided to send my steak back.
When my plate came back to the table I had more vegetables, a fully loaded baked potato & I don't know how but an even rarer steak than before. The only way I think that could have happened is they cooked me another steak. Cutting into it there was blood on the plate. Also, the fact that I got a fully loaded baked potato shows that the kitchen staff did not pay attention to the original order.
I have question: How is a pepper corn sauce salty as it is made with pepper ? The Signature Peppercorn Sauce was really salty. Just another issue.
We were both so upset & disappointed. It ruined our celebration & a night out. We did not order dessert & wanted to leave as soon as we could.
We will think hard about going back to this restaurant again. This was strike two.
Oh, so I did take the Owner's suggestion & try the restaurant again but to no avail it was worse than the first time.
Nous avons bien mangé, les ribs étaient très bons & se détachaient facilement. Juste à côté de l'hôtel, parfait pour un dernier soir à Montréal.
Unfortunately, overcooked dry ribs, yesterday's fries, tasteless banana pie & an undrinkable specialty coffee (that did not look anything like the picture in the menu). Baton Rouge food quality has declined every single time I went since the pandemic.
Plutôt pas mal. Restaurant sympa & service discret mais très adéquat.
Tartare de saumon un peu décevant (pas un saumon vraiment confit ni frais mais un saumon fumé) & salade de chou vraiment pas terrible contrairement à d'autres restaurants moins hauts de gamme. Cependant, les ribs & le poulet pané sont vraiment délicieux, ainsi que le cheese cake (venant de quelqu'un qui n'aime pas ça normalement). Très bonne sangria blanche !
We were looking for place to celebrate a special occasion & heard good things about the brand. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our visit. Our order was wrong & had to be remade, which delayed everything. The food didn't justify the high price-especially the lobster bisque, which was clearly frozen & served lumpy. Even the ribs & lobster lacked flavor. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, that didn't make up for the poor quality of the meal.

Very tender, but mine were a tiny bit burnt
Can't say it's real food! Tasteless burger & ribs & they promote the burger is their specialty.
Won't go again or recommend to anyone to have a bad meal.
Service is fast but for no quality & tasteless food.
Holy smoking ribs... We ate like kings & queens. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was excellent, & everyone left happy. The dishes arrived pretty fast but the waitress was a miss: she was hard to reach. Other than that, everything else was excellent.
Not much to say about Baton Rouge. They never disappoint. Ribs are amazing. Fries are delicious.
Love it!!!! Went on Thursday had the best ribs ever & got served by the amazing waitress Zoe!! Very patient & respectful. All & all amazing night
Let me start off by saying that the service was good, our waiter was kind & came by regularly to check on us. The food though was really underwhelming. It was edible, but that's about it. I got the ribs with chicken tenders, & I have to be honest, it was worse than store bought food. This is even more ridiculous when you consider the restaurant's price point. I have no comments on the atmosphere, the bathrooms were nice I guess. All in all would not recommend unless they make drastic improvements to the food quality & portions.
We went here for lunch & it was very cozy & had a lot of tvs with different sports. The servers were very nice & allowed us to stay near the window when it was snowing. We ordered three items, the chicken burger was a 3.5/5 - there wasn't really a wow factor or a must have it again. The grilled salmon was a 4/5 - it had a great flavor to it but it felt a bit slightly overcooked. The prime rib sandwich was a 4.5/5 - the meat itself is very bland so the sauce is really needed but it also didn't give enough wow or flavors as I wanted it to be, but definitely would order again
Don't have the burger, probably stick with the ribs, which is what they are known for. I asked to swap out the swiss for Monterey Jack, burger arrived with no cheese at all. Patty was overcooked & dry af. Edges burned, barely any bbq sauce. If I wasn't famished, would have returned it. We were 5, 2 got plates. 7 min later, other plates arrived. Flank steak was good according to mom but garlic bread is way too basic for the price. Don't know if short staffed as it's pretty much the norm but no one came to refill the wine glasses. Come on BR, up your game! Had not been to Bâton Rouge in over 10yrs. Looks like another 10yrs will pass before I step foot in another BR. Very disappointing...
Great food & service ! Our group was very well taken care of. The food was delicious, ribs & drinks are awesome!
