We love coming to Barocco when we visit Montreal. The staff are so lovely & welcoming & the food is incredible. We sat at the bar & Marc the bartender there made our experience above & beyond. All round the experience was great, across the three categories. The restaurant ambience was perfect for sharing a meal & having great conversation! The waiter who took care of us was extremely knowledgeable on the menu options & had fantastic recommendations!

A very lovely dining experience! Made a reservation for my husband & I on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is very warm, cozy, & charming with stone walls, beamed ceilings, & filled with lovely antiques. We were seated at a cozy, corner table by the window. Our waiter was professional & personable. He was very present throughout our meal. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails, which were fantastic, & two apps (tartare & foie gras) & two entrees (duck & halibut), which were all divine. If you are looking for a unique, fine dining experience this is the place! Whether your celebrating your birthday or just visiting Montreal for the first time like we were, Barraco is such a treat. As it is a smaller, intimate setting reservations are a must but when we showed up without one the host went out of his way to try to squeeze us in. Due to demand, we ended up making a reservation for the very next day & it was worth it! The fantastic staff, particularly the bartender Mark, went above & beyond to make this dining experience worth every moment. I couldn't recommend this place more!View more

Truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The service from the host to the captain was incredible, every need was anticipated. The food was phenomenal & would recommend the chefs tasting menu to all. The wine menu was thorough & the pairing accompanied the tasting menu perfectly. The beef short ribs are a must order dish. This rather small & private restaurant has an amazing ambiance & decor. The food is exceptionnaly good & well presented. I recommend the tasting menu which comes in 5 services plus dessert. The value & the portion sizes are also very good. The service was great as we had a server present every dish that was served & always keep our glasses full. Highly recommend!View more

Amazing tastebud experience. I tried the tasting, which consisted of 5 preset courses & a dessert. The taste & variety of each course had my senses running. Hard to choose my favorite course. Marc at the bar held down the entertainment & knowledge of the courses & their pairings. I highly suggest sitting at seat 1 or 2 at the bar to see the acrobats of Chef & his staff in the kitchen making this all come together. Definitely would recommend for a nice, relaxing, no rush meal.View more

From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we had an exceptional time. Subdued lighting for a romantic dinner, beautiful rustic decor with some comedic hints on the hanging dishes, quick & receptive service, food that made us take a moment to close our eyes & really enjoy the experience happening in our mouths (lol). It was a special night in the context of Montreal en Lumières, with an excellent chef invited to cook with Jeremie. The menu was excellent but we waited a lot the dishes & some of them were not very warm, which sadly made the experience less enjoyable. Service & atmosphere was wonderful. We had the mushroom appetizer & it was very good. Definitely recommend that. My short ribs had a reduction that was thick & like molasses. It was too rich & hard to eat a lot of. Parsnip puree needed seasoning & the steak my husband ordered needed to be seasoned. But the experience was very nice. The food needs more attentionView more

We order the octopus, the brioche & the steak with truffle butter... everything tasted really good. Plus, the attention & cordiality from our waiter Luca was incredible.
