We love coming to Barocco when we visit Montreal. The staff are so lovely & welcoming & the food is incredible. We sat at the bar & Marc the bartender there made our experience above & beyond. He was personable & gave us amazing recommendations on what to eat & drink. Highly recommend this gem in Montreal!!View more

Full 5 star experience. Everything from the food, service & restaurant vibe was perfect. The BBQ oysters did not disappoint. My only regret was not ordering 6 more. The farm salad was very flavourful but also fresh. Their braised beef (signature meal) was excellent. (If you don't love celery then I'd say choose something else since their potato purée does have a strong celery taste to it) Waitress was very knowledgeable, showed confidence in the menu & also caught on that it was a special occasion so she brought out a sparkler. Last but not least - drinks were also made to perfection. Paid parking lot 10 steps away from the resto came in handy. Can't wait to be back - specifically for the BBQ oysters.View more

Very small & cozy restaurant. Great service at first. Turns out, they charged me 32$ for a Paloma drink. Really! Are we at the Ritz ? Also, they have like 4 choices of food on the menu, very limited. But seriously how can a normal basic drink as tequila & pamplemousse juice can cost as much as a gnocchi meal ? Do not waist your time. Not worth it.View more

Went there for my birthday, locals love it here.so had to give it a try. Live the rustic decorations. Small restaurant so make reservations. We started w paper crane cocktail ( a twist on paper plane) it was good but it looked like a 2 oz drink. The glass looked very ball. See photo In NY the get 4 oz drinks. Other than that the food is great. Ayube the waiter/Sommelier:/owner was very friendly n attentive. I got a nice sparklers w after dinner drinks to celebrate my birthday. Very cool.View more

We came all the way from Toronto & have to say this was the best dining experience we have ever had! From the service, to the atmosphere, & to the food & drinks, you could really tell they put a lot of attention to detail to everything. This is the number one restaurant in Montreal. Food is insane. Drinks are unique & their wine selection goes well with their menu. To top it off, the service is unmatched. My wife & I spend every special event there since the day their doors opened (minus Covid days) We are lucky as Montrealers to have such a quality restaurant.View more

The food was beautiful, the staff was beautiful & the place is beautiful. The drinks are very nicely made, & the food is perfectly balanced. The brioche was delicate & the cheese & butter that it came with were a wonderful paring. The salad with anchovies & bacon was delicious. The hen had a wonderful creamy sauce & soft mushrooms. The pasta with ricotta was truly delight. We had a dessert that we ate so quickly I forgot to take a picture but it had a very nice apple confit on top. Lastly the staff was not only gorgeous but they were funny, knowledgeable & attentive. I'd love to come back & get through the entire menu.View more

via LibroWe sat at the bar & the bartender was very very good! We enjoyed his company & knowledge of the menu/drinks. I found the short ribs a little too salty but they were very gracious about it. My daughter really enjoyed her paella. I would definitely go again!

What a romantic little resto in the heart of the old port. The paella was soooo good, although years ago I remember it was served on traditional Spanish paella pans? The bar makes top notch drinks to your choice. I strongly suggest you try the Old Fashion
Walk past all the other tourist traps in old town & around the city & make your way to Barroco.
You will be VERY happy you did.
PS. The short rib is hands down the best I have ever eaten. It will be for you as well. But what ever you choose, you will leave with a full belly & smile on your face. Don't miss it.
via LibroWe love this place & regret that we only went for a drink at the bar but ended up ordering a little bit of food which blew us away. We had a brioche with olive oil butter & a pasta dish with morels. Very simple but absolutely delicious & perfectly executed. It was our last night in Montreal so wish we could have stayed one more night so we could have a full meal. Hopefully we'll make our way back there again! The bartender made great cocktails & provided awesome service at the bar. The ambience is cozy & inviting. This place has everything we love about drinking/dining out!

via LibroOnly half of our party had their drink orders taken, the other half never was asked. We were given dessert menus & the order was never taken. It took 1 full hour after our meals were done to get our bill. The waiter never asked about dessert we had to flag him down for our cheque.
