CAFFETTIERA (une cafetière Moka en italien), situé dans le Mille carré doré de Montréal, est un bar italien inspiré des années 90.
Le ‘‘ bar ’’, pour les italiens, est l’endroit où l’on va durant sa journée, pour prendre une pause. Notre espresso est torréfié en Italie et infusé avec des machines à piston Vittorio Arduini ainsi qu’avec les classiques Bialettis.

Caffettiera (moka coffee pot in italian) is a 90’s inspired Italian bar located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile. For Italians, the “bar” is where one goes to take a break from the day.
Our espresso is roasted in Italy and brewed from shiny Vittorio Arduini Lever machines as well as classic Bialettis.
Bar Caffettiera est perçu comme un café italien authentique, avec un espresso et des pâtisseries de grande qualité, notamment le croissant à la pistache et le bombolone à la Nutella, ainsi que des sandwiches et des granitas. L'ambiance est vivante et conviviale avec une vibe italienne forte, musique parfois très forte, et une terrasse agréable en été; l'endroit peut devenir très fréquenté et les espaces restreints, ce qui peut rendre le service un peu chaotique ou bruyant selon les heures. Le personnel est généralement chaleureux et efficace, et le cadre attire autant les touristes que les locaux, offrant une expérience de café traditionnel sans options américaines et une impression de être en Italie. Pour certains, le prix peut être élevé et la foule peut gêner la dégustation ou le travail sur place, mais la qualité du café et des viennoiseries justifie souvent le détour. Globalement, Bar Caffettiera est une référence pour ceux qui recherchent une expérience café à l italienne, avec un décor soigné, une offre sucrée généreuse et une forte identité locale.
The line was long but it goes fast, the ham sandwiches are so damn good. I preferred the panini one & my husband preferred the croissant shaped one but seriously, you can't go wrong. I strongly appreciate the Luke's Diner vibe (no laptops) & the abundant seating. I'll be back.
I met the nicest barista named Mike! Very welcoming, attentive & good at his job! The coffee was amazing, I had a cappuccino & normally I find Montreal coffee very sour/acidic but they have a good blend! I also had the toast carabol (?) which was very tasty & made for a wonderful breakfast, although next time I might go for one of their delicious looking pastries! The cafe has a lovely atmosphere, very dynamic & open to conversation! I would highly recommend going!

Service & food were great - would recommend visiting. This place was quite popular, with a lot of people coming in & out. We had the iced Italian latte & pistachio bomboloni. Both were great & fair priced. Loved the colours of the place, made one feel very happy.
my favorite espresso in the city ☕️ i love the vibes (great for chatting with friends, not for studying) The friendliest service too! marocchino & biscotti if u want to treat yourself 🙂↕️
Loved it so much we came twice during our visit. We had the frozen/slushy espresso; it was unlike anything I've had before & now I want it every day. Staff were friendly & atmosphere is chefs kiss

Fantastic espresso & a warm welcome every time! The barista here is always friendly & smiling, making my coffee experience even better. The quality of the espresso is consistently excellent, & the cozy atmosphere adds to the charm. Definitely my go-to spot for a perfect cup of coffee!
had about 4 or 5 drinks here. the first one was really good, then the rest didn't match up with the quality... It was more like a 5-star cortado then a bunch of 3-star average cortado & lattes etc... again they sometimes make the steamed milk too hot.
I always either get a latte or a cappuccino & I have to say, it's one of the best I've had in Montreal. The roast is perfect & it truly packs a punch. I prefer it to blonder - & thus more acidic, fruity & floral kinds of coffees. The atmosphere is also great & their playlist is amazing.
was very disappointed with my experience here. I'm not a big coffee person & unfortunately they did not serve any drinks without it. it seems they take their coffee pretty seriously so for any coffee fans this might be the right place to go to. the sandwich i got was pretty bad so needless to say i did not enjoy my meal. also i don't understand why but they had a sign on every table asking not to use laptops? for anyone like me that enjoys coffee places to work i wouldn't recommend. i have to say tho that the staff was very friendly & welcoming.

Came highly recommended from the owner of Canada's #1 restaurant while we were visiting Montreal. It quickly became our daily breakfast spot. Their coffee is amazing. Ham & cheese sandwich SO delicious. Great vibe. Amazing & super friendly & attentive service. We just came back from Rome where we had some amazing coffee. Cafetteria's is better 🤷🏻♀️. Especially the cappuccino.
