We ordered Thai red curry soup & crispy dumplings to start with, the soup was way too watery & lacked flavor. I had to pour some of the dipping sauce that came with the dumplings into the soup.
We ordered the choo-chee fish, Thai red curry with shrimp & beef udon. I made the mistake of asking them to make the food spicy, it was so spicy that we were crying, & we can handle spice. Also, there is no rice with the curries, so you have to order them separate which obviously cost more. The portion of ice-cream (which we got because of the food being overly spicy) was also too small for the price. The Thai milk tea was my savior.
This was my 4th time going to this restaurant, I don't know if I might be going back.
Ordered takeout so didn't get to experience the inside but it's a nice place. I got the beef pad sew & the sweet/spicy chicken wings, both of the best I've ever had! Insanely good
J'ai donné 5 étoiles pour l'ensemble, une bonne équipe qui a fait preuve de patience & de professionnalisme, on était un groupe de plus de 20 personnes, donc de notre part, le bruit & l'agitation ne manquaient pas, on s'en excuse, mais aucune remarque ni réaction de dérangement détecté chez les serveuses qui ont été très compréhensives & courtoises.
Les plats étaient bons, pleins de légumes, pas très salés & de bonne quantité.
Je remercie toute l'équipe pour leurs excellents services & leur attitude positive. J'y retournerai certainement.

Service was too rapid. Tge mango & papaya salad was decent. The other dishes quite ordinary. The green curry chicken had an unpleasant flavor. The servers were very pleasant.
What's happened to this place? Food used to be flavourful, with good sized portions & excellent service. Not any more. Food was just so so & expensive, unprofessional, rude servers. I was wondering why the restaurant was empty at lunch time.
Now I know.
Will not return.

We visit this restaurant periodically & with big family for the last 2 years.
We have always been satisfied honestly we love their dumplings with peanut sauce ... today it was an unpleasant experience ! We cannot explain why but food tasted bad (thai sweet & sour for example) we did not enjoy. We usually had fun reading the fortune cookies for the whole family, we discovered today that they are not offered anymore & we have to pay for them even though the bill was massive, they did not offer for the kids at least ... that's unfortunate ... I do not think it is worth the drive anymore ...
Since the original owners finally took over the place it has been a treat to experience consistently good food from BKK. We take out at least once a week & eat in at least once a month. Great young staff very accommodating to a clientele that can often be difficult.
Late stop on a weeknight, outside terrace, had an amazing mango salad followed by a red curry fish, everything was amazing, highly recommend the mango salad & the service was excellent, very friendly.
SO YUMMY! I find it challenging to get good Thai food in Montreal, & this place made my year when I discovered it. Their lunch specials are delicious & affordable. My favorite used to be beef & eggplant until they swapped that out & I tried the cashew tofu. Out of this world! The ambiance is great, they have a patio in the summertime & although it gets jampacked with people, the servers are always on top of their game. Highly recommend!
Bangkok Express was such a surprise for me. I didn't think much of it every time I've been passed it. But I'm so, so glad that I've found it. I often find myself thinking about the food here, & it's been quite a while since I've visited.
The food was absolutely delicious. It has very authentic Thai flavors. The fish that I had was so, so good. It was slightly spicy, full of flavor, so soft & tender. I want to eat it again.
The service was very friendly & fast. The atmosphere gave more of a tropical bar type of vibe, but also very homey. It was nice.
