Absolutely delicious! The best General Tao & Tom Yum in Montreal. The owner's daughter (sorry, I don't know her name) is always so professional, quick & kind! My husband & I come here on our date nights & the food & service never ever disappoint. They also have a nice terrace for the warmer days ahead. Can't wait to come back again! Thank you to the entire staff.
Vy served us & she was amazing.Pad Thai & coconut soup was delicious . Basil hibiscus was good too .
I've ordered Pad Thai twice now, chicken the first time then shrimp the next.
The shrimp is much superior in flavour. The sauce is quite sweet but overall it's quite taste & the portions are big enough to fill you up.
Pad Thai comes with a small container of crushed peanuts on the side.
After moving away from NDG a couple of years ago, I found myself looking for a Thai restaurant that satisfied me the same as BKK. I finally made it back, & it did not disappoint.
Generous portions for a reasonable price & the flavour is always spot on.
Don't hesitate to this restaurant a try!
Quality of the food is noticeably lower than it used to be. Such a shame. It was my go to thai restaurant back in the day. I give it a chance every now & then & get different dishes but it's a let down every time. What happened?
If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to be. Every dish we ordered was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, & spicy. The Pad Thai had that elusive smoky wok hei flavor, & the chicken Coco Curry soupe was incredibly rich & fragrant. You can tell they use fresh herbs & high-quality ingredients. Truly a 5-star experience for any foodie!'
I highly recommend this restaurant; the food is delicious, the portions are very generous, & the service is friendly.
We went to Bangkok Express & overall had a great experience.
The atmosphere is really nice, with a warm & lively vibe, & the prices are very reasonable, especially for the variety offered on the menu.
Food-wise, it was a good mix:
• The spring rolls & tom yum soup were excellent, full of flavor & very satisfying
• The pad thai was very good, although just a little on the oily side
• The fried rice was good, but not particularly memorable
• Cocktails were nice, but slightly on the sweeter side
Service was smooth & the overall experience was very enjoyable.
In short, a solid & satisfying spot with great value for money. We'll definitely be back.
They have a lunch special, which is $17.95 & includes a coffee or tea, but they will not let you substitute a soda (even though a soda on the menu is the same price as a coffee or tea). I do not like hot drinks. I was very angry because this policy made no logical sense, but I stayed polite. I ate the lunch special & tipped 15% because I do not like confrontation. I should have just walked out then: a place that will nickel & dime you like that is probably cutting corners on the food too. The menu looked alright, but the lunch special was the cheapest option, & even that seemed too high. I will not be back, despite living 3 blocks away. Imperial roles were super greasy.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing service & the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
We are regular customers of this consistently delicious restaurant. Not only is the food always tasty & warm, but the service is equally as wonderful & keeps us coming back to this gem of a restaurant in the Monkland village. Bo was particularly compassionate with our group tonight & we truly appreciated his kindness & will be back for our next meal soon!
So I have to report this has never happened before:
Ordered Pad thai chicken, Feb 26, first off the portion is smaller, but the main complaint was the chicken, most of it was like powdered, miniscule pieces smaller than rice, like dust. First time ever, this has happened used to be lots of chicken white meat. I felt ripped off big time. Too bad close to my home, but I guess last time!
A few items are excellent & a great price for the item.
Last night ordered general tai was sub par.
Nice not to have it breaded but dry & little flavour & no heat. Quite disappointing
The ChoChee fish has yet to disappoint.
I went with a group home I volunteer with, I loved the food & vibes. we were over ten people & my order did get forgotten twice but I got a free drink from it lol! made me happy, would definitely go back
