Aylwin is an awesome BBQ spot in Atwater market & I would certainly recommend it.
I ordered the daily platter which comes at the cost of 24$ & comes with jerk style pork belly, brisket burnt ends, sausage, bread, cucumber salad & some sliced pickles, jalapenos & marinated onions. Everything was delicious. The brisket was very tender. The pork belly was very rich & fatty. The sausage was another highlight with just the right amount of spice. My only complaint is that for 24$ I would expect a bit more meat from the platter. The bread was also a little bit unimpressive. But overall it was a very tasty platter.
I also had the Mac & Cheese which was very good. They use pearl shaped pasta. The cheese sauce is very creamy & they top the whole thing with a bunch of bread crumbs & green onions. I would definitely recommend getting this as a side dish if you come to Aylwin.
Great experience overall & definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Atwater market. Next time I come back, I would love to try the burger, pulled pork & tacos.
I was not a fan of the smoked meat so my bf wanted me to try ! & I tried with poutine & smoked meat & it was awesome delicious !
Truly outstanding smoked meat sandwich at the Deli, a highlight of our Montreal trip!
Love this place! On weekends they have more offerings such as the brisket sandwich. David, the gentleman at the cash taking orders, is awesome & always very friendly! Highly recommend!
VERY GOOD SMOKED SALMON BAGEL & REUBEN'S SANDWICH!! 👍
But, just a a'lil smile of appreciation from the young lady at the counter would've been nice towards 2 paying customers?
Instead of ... an'attitude face.
Customers, have choices.
Especially, with the Première Moisson bakery upstairs?
