This place is absolutely amazing! It's the first thing you smell as you enter the Atwater Market.
Let's talk about that brisket. First off, the spice rub is exquisite. The seasoning doesn't overpower the meat flavor - it enhances it. The smoke is tasty, & again, not overpowering. They give you two sauces - one sweet & one spicy.
We also got the Famous Aylwinator Burger. This is perfection on a bun. Again, seasoned & smoked perfectly, awesome condiments, & made with care.
Last but not least, the people who work there are just plain cool. Super friendly, witty, & efficient. I will absolutely be back the next time I come to Montréal.
I tried a beef brisket sandwich. The sauce was kind of sweet. There was a bit of cucumber mixed with mayonnaise in one part. It was okay, but a little too sweet for me.
It cost around $16 after tax.
One of the best smoked food North of USA. Great deep smoke flavor with the ribs & beef brisket.
I had the brisket since everyone said it was good - & it was! The line was long & some of the locals chatted about how good it was. But it moved fairly quickly & the food got served quickly as well.
I've had phenomenal bbq in Texas & other famous bbq places & this is good brisket. I would definitely recommend.
This place is a gem tucked away at the Atwater Market! The vibe is friendly & no-nonsense-it's all about the food, & they absolutely nail it. If you're going, you simply have to try the brisket sandwich & please add a smoked sausage to the mix. The smoky, juicy bite of the sausage alongside the rich, fall apart brisket is a killing combo that's pure barbecue bliss. Aylwin BBQ is the kind of place that reminds you why simple food, done right, is the best food. If you're at the market & craving something warm, hearty, & full of flavour, do yourself a favour & stop by. You won't regret it!
Wow!! Those ribs & sausage were just perfect. Best bbq I have had in a long time!! Going back tomorrow to try the pulled pork & brisket!!

Bonne place de BBQ, je recommande ribs & brisket, préférablement pas en sandwich afin de mieux apprécier la viande qui est excellente même sans sauce.
The food is great & the staff are friendly. We arrived late & they were out of brisket, so be sure to go early if you want to try everything.
These guys understood what BBQ is about. Their brisket is a gem. Somebody did their homework. Congrats.
Best spot at Atwater market & overall best BBQ spot in Montreal. The frozen margaritas were a fantastic add! The brisket is out of this world. 1000% recommend.

Delicious bbq, was looking for one for ages in Montreal & this place truly did not disappoint. Huge portions & reasonable prices for high quality & refined food. Highly recommend. Especially loved the smokey juicy sausage, the brisket, the tacos & the buns. Great sauces too.
