so disgusting. literally inedible. had to throw it all away. what's with all the high reviews? some of the worst food i've ever tasted.
the mekong sandwich was so sweet it was like a dessert. it tasted crazy gross.
i could not eat the buffalo wings either. the sauce wasn't like buffalo sauce but rather a funky cheese yeast sauce. but the worst part was the wing itself. mushy texture & disgusting flavour.
the dragon bowl was a tiny salad & a small block of unseasoned tofu. the sauce, again, was a terrible thick yeast dressing, way too sweet & way too salty.
the berry un-cheesecake has a very high water content for the crust the filling & the compote. like severely incompetent preparation on all fronts. usually with a bad dessert you can find something to salvage.
i enjoy vegan food & this was terrible. made me feel sick.
Came here for dinner & had the Dragon Bowl, Okonomiyaki Bowl, Bali Bowl, & Le Royal Cheeze. Also had the taquitos & Aux Vivres Mezze & Chapati to start. Taquitos weren't too bad. The Mezze & Chipati dish was much better - the smoked carrot pate was amazing. The Dragon & Okonomiyaki bowls were both a hit. The Bali Bowl was awkward though. The dressing was much too tart & didn't go with the ingredients in the salad. The burger was good too, but the potato wedges were on the soft side (instead of being nice & crispy). Overall a pretty good place for veg meals!

🤢😵?💫
I stoped by for a healthy lunch yesterday late afternoon. I had the Dragon bowl, with tempeh. Afterwards I was not feeling too good. I started having nausea in the evening, stomach cramps, & feeling very weak. A few hours later was very sick & ever had a fever. It lasted all night & Im still sick today. I had a full blown food poisoning after eating the Dragon Bowl from Aux Vivres. Lost a whole day of work.
Lovely vegan restaurant with great, healthy options. The portion sizes were really good, & the food was delicious. I got the Mumbai bowl, which was perfectly seasoned.
Dahl soup, great flavor, thick & hearty. Thumbs up
Okonomiyaki bowl, eating healthy can be fun & delicious. Great quality & variety of ingredients. Definitely would get again. Really like the tofu shiitake patty. Saw at least two other tables order it, so I did right
Hibiscus lemonade, really tart
Chocolate banana pie bucket not the set tooth spot on recommendation of the waitress.
Great place & quiet for late lunch. I could have eaten here every day of the trip given the variety & brunch everyday till 4pm! Service friendly & efficient. Nice send of meal as I head home 3k miles away
The original vegan restaurant in Montreal, Aux Vivres is great restaurant along the atmospheric Saint Laurent Blvd. They have a fair sized indoor seating area. You can do take-away orders as well. Opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily.
We ate here during a recent visit to Montreal while exploring the Mile End & Little Portugal areas of the city. The Deluxe & Mumbai bowls ordered on the day were great. Both were generous portions, presentable. Ingredient combinations sensible, dishes executed very well in the kitchen & importantly tasted delicious. Really enjoyed everything about our meal at Aux Vivres & would gladly eat here again in the future.
Very healthy & fresh bowl brimming with veg & tofu - was a detox of sorts after some indulgent other meals & desserts on a holiday. Visited on a weekday lunchtime- the terrace out front was too hot for our taste, but inside was cool & plenty of seating.
The bowls are very delicious. Both the Thai bowl & Japanese inspired ones were great. I love the tempeh & tofu, but neither are super flavourful.
The bowls are huge & packed with so many different veggies. They feel very nourishing lol. The bowls are a great gluten free option.
It's not very fast. We waited over 20 minutes to order & another 20 for food.
I also wish the BLT had some form of protein instead of coconut to replace the bacon.

Unfortunately overrated & overpriced. As the first vegan spot in MTL, they did not set the bar high. I took the asian bowl which tasted mid & mainly consisted of lettuce & a bunch of veggies that you could easily do at home yourself. Drinks were okay. You could find way better vegan/veggie options in the South Shore. 5/10
One of the original vegan spots in Montreal. Great dishes they've made classics. Highly recommend the BLT & Dragon bowl. I do miss the old days when it was a little more low key & cheaper relative to other options, but still definitely worth a visit. I've gone with omnivores who've loved it as well.
The waitress was nice, the decor sober, the atmosphere calm & ideal for an intimate dinner... But my deluxe bowl was disappointing. It was mainly fresh salad. The quality was there, but the sauce was not enough to spark up the whole composition. The faux-saumon was just bland grated carrots, the tofu was equally tasteless, the guacamole got lost in the great amont of greens. My faux cheesecake was decent however. Overall too expensive for what it was.
AVP boasts to be the first vegan restaurant in Montreal & they look to have really expanded across the city. I was excited to check out their Pan-Asian menu & see what the hype was all about. Upon entering, I noticed that they had a few of their pre-made signature bowls for takeout at a fraction of the cost. Seizing the opportunity, I purchased their Bali Bowl which includes marinated tempeh with greens in a ginger dressing. I was happy with my salad bowl as it really hit the spot after consuming a lot of non-veggies during this trip. So while I didn't get to dine in this time around, the bowl did everything for me & I was able to continue my day sight seeing & full.

Clean establishment, friendly service, the kitchen is fast & efficient. The food is superb, my Thai bowl was fresh, flavourful, & has been a repeat favourite of mine. The carrot cake is a must try for anyone a fan of sweets.
Service was outstanding & they did a great job. I've experienced more creative & interesting vegan food options & it's sad that some vegan cooks seem to default to burgers & sandwiches. We should have chosen one of the bowls as this might have been the more interesting option! However, food quality was good, just lacked creativity.
