Such a great addition to the neighbourhood, we got to try this new spot & it was very underrated. The tuna carpaccio was insanely fresh & the whole flavour combo was very well done. The patatas bravas with cured speck was very original & a crazy combination that paired super well together. The spritz was very refreshing, can't go wrong with a classic. The Nduja Romesco Pizza was the star of the show, such a delicious flavour combo & not too spicy either. For the price point this place was very well priced so I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
Also, this place is a cafe during the day so that's a plus!
Au Coin was a great find! The service was friendly & attentive, the menu had lots of appealing options, & the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated. I also loved that they have outdoor seating, which made for a really enjoyable dining experience.
The food was excellent overall. The pizza was made fresh to order, & my favorite dish was definitely the beef tartare, it was absolutely delicious. The only small suggestion I have is that the Caesar salad could use a bit more dressing, but everything else was spot on.
Overall, I'd definitely come back. There are so many other items on the menu that I'd love to try.
Unpleasant experience. The pizza & drinks were good, but the service & allergy handling were disappointing. I informed the waitress about my nut & peanut allergy before ordering, yet the tuna crudo I was served came with a sauce that contained peanuts. I had to double-check with another waitress, who then confirmed that the sauce did contain peanuts. For a serious allergy, this lack of attention is unacceptable & made the experience feel subpar.
We went on a Friday at noon, & while it was quite busy, we were still seated quickly. Service was friendly & efficient despite the rush. The aesthetic - vintage, rustic, farmhouse-inspired decor & open kitchen - was also really pleasing & created a cozy vibe. We ordered the Coin Caesar Salad, Four Seasons Pepperoni Pizza, & a Madeleine. If you're a fan of Neapolitan-style pizza (airy crust & soupy center), this place is for you. The caramel sauce drizzled over the Madeleine was sublime. A great experience overall.
