Infos & emplacement
L’Auberge McGowan ouvre ses portes sur un salon avec foyer au bois et un bar, permettant d’y prendre un verre ou un bon café. La salle à dîner attenante, complètement vitrée, et la grande terrasse offrent une magnifique vue sur le lac Memphrémagog. L’Auberge propose également une salle privée pouvant accueillir un groupe de 12 personnes pour une réunion ou pour un repas pris en toute intimité.
Les produits du terroir sont à l’honneur, dont les fines herbes du jardin de l’Auberge et les légumes bio du Jardin du Quartier, qui tient un marché de producteurs les samedis à Georgeville.

For the restaurant - I come here every year! Great spot to grab lunch on a sunny day. Right by the water so you're very likely to get a nice breeze if you sit on the terrace. The calamari is always a hit, they often change up the mains, I have always enjoyed the items that I've ordered.Voir plus

I loved the renovations & the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the portions were very small (watermelon salad that was about 19$ literally had maybe 6-7 small cubes of watermelon) for the price.Voir plus

Le cadre est magique & cela vaut facilement 50% du plaisir! Par contre ce mardi, c'était spécial indien. Le service était extrêmement lent comparativement aux fois précédentes où nous sommes allés & les mets indiens, outre l'agneau qui était extrêmement bien apprêté, n'était pas à la hauteur d'un bon resto indien.Voir plus

Restaurant: only choice was Indian food because it was Tuesday despite having a varied menu for the rest of the week. Food was not authentic Indian. Butter chicken was dry & not cooked in the sauce, lamb was over cooked. Dessert was not great. Having been here on many other occasions in previous years, I was very disappointed.Voir plus

No longer the much loved, charming old fishing pourvoirie that it used to be, The McGowan House has morphed into an exquisite restaurant & boutique hotel of fine taste. Rebuilt with deference to its patrimoine britanique du Quebec its style reflects the architecture of this very special historical village.
Each time we return to dine we are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine, the kindness of the staff & the beauty of the sunset across the lake. Thank you to all who have made this village jewel a reality.Voir plus

We celebrated our son's 18th birthday & had a lovely dinner in the Inn. Although we did not stay over, the restaurant & bar were beautiful, & the service was great. I hope to return in the summer when we can experience more of the view.Voir plus

I have been to pub night at the Auberge a few times & enjoyed each one but last night. Instead of moist, plump fish served in a light batter as usual, my fish was in dry clumps & the batter was actually burnt. Very disappointing.
My three companions has burgers (which again are usually very good) but these seemed overcooked as well.)
I will of course give them another try but that would be it...
Normally the food is quite good so I am hopeful.
