Constantly evolving, the Pied de Cochon celebrates its 20th anniversary in November 2021. This à la carte restaurant is located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal. Authentic to its Quebec and Canadian roots, the dishes are hearty and comforting. Adopting the style from French brasseries, the chef and his team draw inspiration from local and seasonal products to create a timeless menu. With private import wines, beers brewed in Montreal, and signature cocktails, Au Pied de Cochon restaurant is a friendly place where local products are showcased. There is one of the first open kitchens in Montreal where you can see the cooks in action.

via LibroGot seated at the very back. Service was non attentive. Pork chop was tough. Had been looking forward to this dinner for many years. Super disappointed. Feels like a tourist trap. I can't imagine many locals dining there. Will not be recommending this restaurant.
via LibroFantastic as always. I come here every time I visit Montreal (tourist from out of town, I come to Montreal once or twice a year). They change up the menu occasionally but every dish I have ever ordered has been fantastic.

via LibroWe had a great time here. Our server Melinda was lovely & attentive. The other support staffs were also great. We had the citrus scallops & oyster with soy marinated quail egg & both were phenomenal! I am glad we chose a lighter appetizer because the duck 🦆 in a can was a very rich dish. The duck was cooked to a perfection, just the right doneness. I had the cocktail Moji-Pho which helped to brightened up some of the rich flavours of the dish. In all, a great experience!

Not knowing French we felt right at home. Having only 24 hours more to spend in Montreal he took the time to make a list of recommendations for the rest of our time in Montreal.

We were sat in the narrow passage by the kitchen so it was very loud & people were rushing by a lot, that's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the ambiance. We also had a kid next to us that was misbehaving a bit which was unexpected for an upmarket restaurant. But as I was getting a little frustrated, the staff gave the boy extra attention & the chef came & gave him his apron & had a photo with him. Their kindness was really appreciated from the solo parent, & seeing their kindness made us enjoy the experience even more. The staff were exceptional, absolutely faultless. But that heavy, rich food & just one toilet off the bar gives me anxiety!
