I have been eating at your restaurant for close to 20 years, whenever I visit Montreal. I love sitting at the bar for a great experience watching the chefs or bartender work. Service is always friendly & excellent, even though my French isn't good. Everyone will speak English to me, which is appreciated. I was even in a bind because of internet issues & your manager shared a wifi code to help me out.
Food quality is always outstanding. I always get the Poutine with Foie Gras. This visit I also enjoyed the bison tartare, also delicious & flavorful!! I regularly recommend your restaurant to anyone coming to Montreal! I can wait for my next visit because no one makes poutine like yours!! 😋😋
Steak de thon était mal conçu. Poutine exceptionnelle. Service décevant.
Better than ever foie gras poutine! The staff is fantastic especially the bartender. Merci.
Amazing. Food is always a hit & my friends were very impressed with this place. You must try the foie Gras poutine, temaki & foie Gras nigiri. The only down side is that it can get quite loud inside so it may be hard to hear others talk at times. Service was outstanding.
Excellent service, friendly staff. Our last dish was forgetten so the wait was long (three & a half hours total for one appetizer, one poutine, one main & one dessert). Had to ask where it was. Received a complementary glass of cider for the wait. Overall, good experience, would return.
Great food, drinks & service but super casual at the same time, Maybe a little noisy if you were going for a romantic meal for two ! Duck in a can & the pork shanks were amazing as was the Foie gras poutine that we shared as a starte
Friendly staff. Everyone was focused on us having a great time. Food was some of the best I have had anywhere. Foie Gras poutine was fabulous. If you like Foie Gras you should not miss this dish.
Fun atmosphere totally indulgent food. We had foix gras poutine & duck in a can. We sat at the bar & got to watch the kitchen at work. The food was all carefully prepared & was completely on point. We finished the meal & felt like we accomplished something this will be a meal remembered for a lifetime
Went to APDC on a Friday night & sat at the counter to watch the kitchen staff in action, best seat in the house seeing them make all their creations. We split a Foie Gras Poutine & it was to die for, if a could have that gravy on an IV, i would have it daily. My girlfriend ordered a Mac & Cheese, it was nice & creamy & very good. I ordered the Tanjia Bourguignonne that came with a side of Tagliatelle & Bone Marrow. The pasta was very good, but the star of the show. The huge piece of beef (bone on) cooked in the Moroccan dish was to die for. The red wine sauce was simply sublime, as were the veggies that came with. This was a meal & night I will remember & talk about for the rest of my life. 5 stars to the cooking staff for the entertainment & feast.
Excellent service du personnel , nourriture excellent & abondant , Poutine foie gras juste wow !!
Je recommande ce restaurant !
Superbe repas, saveurs typiquement québécoise & raffiné.
Poutine au foie gras exceptionnel
Personnel au top
Le cidre est à goûter !
Had a lovely first time visiting Cochon. I went for the Foie Gras Poutine & it was good but I think their other dishes are probably better & more interesting. The service was very attentive & warm. I was a single party seated at the counter & it was fun to watch the action in the kitchen. Would definitely go back & try more things.
The wait with a reservation was almost an hour! The service was exceedingly slow!my teens were falling asleep. They kept coming by to update us if the things they were out of or running out of during the course of our dinner & we had to keep changing what we ordered. The staff were super nice. Food was very rich! Loved the fish! No one else loved their meal or starters! Daughter mac & cheese made with cheese no one liked. Duck starter was good in a cone! Pork starter was gross the salad was delicious
The cassoulet was very rich & truly could have been for a party of four
Fish was the best thing we had
The poutine with four gras was very good
Overall we got there at 7 waited to be seated until almost 8 we finished after 10 & half my table was falling asleep & annoyed due to the long delays to get anything
Cuisine passable, prix inacceptable, musique trop forte —> Expérience médiocre.
(Plats choisis : Poutine, cassoulard, côté de porc vieillie)
Passez votre chemin.
Great food & service. Lively, foodie vibe. Emil made the evening- as did the poutine with foie gras & the "duck in a can!!" A place you MUST visit!!
Everything was fantastic. Balanced flavors & incredible flavor combinations made for an exceptional evening out. Very much enjoyed watching the team cook at the dining bar, & everything from our wine to our cocktails were delicious. The Duck tartare & Cod Cheek salad were the perfect start to our more decadent entrees of Canard in a Can & 30 day dry aged Pork Chop. & we couldn't come to PDC without having their Fois Poutine & Pudding Chomer. Thank you!! Tim & Sydney
As someone in hospitality, that was one of the best experiences I have had, with front of out being very attentive. & as well the food being absolutely incredible.
Mexican mule!
The Foie Poutine
Pork chop
Duck in a can!
Whole experience was magnificent
Much thanks to the team at Au Pied De Cochon! You did a fabulous job.
Great food, ambiance & friendly staff! Definitely get the foie Gras sushi & foie Gras poutine, it's the best! I'll definitely be stopping here again next time I'm in Montréal.
Magnifique!
This was my second time attending the restaurant & it did not hit as much as the first time. The duck temaki was fabulous, foie gras Poutine to die for, but the duck in a can was very chewy, different from the first time I had it. The service was great but the environment when you're in the front of the restaurant is not ideal. We were next to the line of people waiting, next to the coat rack & there were cold breezes throughout our meal. I would still definitely recommend going but try & get a table in the restaurant & not the entrance.
Amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious & the service was impeccable. We had the foie gras Poutine, veal en croûte & the foie gras mac & cheese. I'd come back & recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting montreal
Service & food were incredible! They had several gluten free options for those that are celiac. I strongly recommend the poutine, the pork chop, & the Foie gras! Can't wait to come back!
This place was amazing food wise & service wise. I had originally booked the paris location by accident weeks in advance & when I explained the situation to them they got me a good reservation !
The duck in a can & poutine were amazing & the fois Gras tastes so good. My fam thought it was goose :) I also really liked how well versed the waiters were with the food & were very well versed in explaining what the dishes were made of
I also really liked the hostess Mia - she was super friendly & went above & beyond to ensure we had a comfortable time. She also offered to help us bring home the can that had the duck in it & explained how it would be a great souvenir. She is seriously one of the best hostesses I've had ever!
Lives up to its reputation. Poutine with Foie Gras, duck in a can, shepherds pie all excellent. Service was great.
We had the tomato tart, foie gras poutine, the porc chop, the salt cod (an INSANE multilayered dish, with the server squeezing out roasted garlic directly onto the plate!). Our lovely, personable server recommended wines that paired perfectly (& were not the most expensive on the list). A very special meal. By the end we were exhausted, but in the best way.
The food was phenomenal! Best poutine foie gras we've had. Everything we had was delicious! Watching the kitchen at work was also a treat.
Started off great with a salad, unfortunately the cod frites apps were over fried, hard & greasy. Fois Gras poutine curds were cold! The Duck in a Can is a great "foodie" idea, however on a busy night its too popular & was cold as it came out of the can. We love duck & fois gras so the cold parts dampened the experience. Great restaurant with a fun vibe , open kitchen with a hard working crew. Would give it another chance & choose different items from menu.
