Afficher toutpizza(52) decor(10) vibe(10) kitchen(9) salad(9) cozy(7) coffee(7) vin(7) dejeuner(6) cafe(6) beautiful(6) prix(5)We went on a Friday at noon, & while it was quite busy, we were still seated quickly. Service was friendly & efficient despite the rush. The aesthetic - vintage, rustic, farmhouse-inspired decor & open kitchen - was also really pleasing & created a cozy vibe. We ordered the Coin Caesar Salad, Four Seasons Pepperoni Pizza, & a Madeleine. If you're a fan of Neapolitan-style pizza (airy crust & soupy center), this place is for you. The caramel sauce drizzled over the Madeleine was sublime. A great experience overall.
Tout est excellent mais la salade César est probablement la meilleure que j'ai mangé de ma vie.
Was walking around & decided to stop for dinner & it was such an unremarkable experience. The owner clearly prioritized the decor/ambiance & ended up forgetting about the food. Was lucky to be served by a friendly server that alongside the decor were the only positives of my experience. The menu was really uninspiring. I got the radicchio salad that was good, but the fritti courge was awful, they def fried in cold oil because it was soggy & waaaaay too oily, & the portion size was also laughable. The pizza was disappointing as well, the dough was not cooked all the way through & it lacked both salt & flavor, I tried to add the chilli oil to see if it would help but guess what? It literally had zero flavor lol. They also need to figure it out the toilet paper situation, there was a bunch of half used rolls on top of a table next to the toilet & it was nasty. Anyways, I guess it's a cool spot to take pics, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone that is looking to have good food.
Salad & pasta, pizza. The service felt theatrical & awkward, like try too hard & I think we all ate pizza before….:not getting the pizza god attitude.
The pizza was not cooked all the way through so it was soupy to eat …looks like it was but then whole center melted away. Pizza presents well.
Honestly great pizza 🍕 we had the mushroom & sausage pizza, so delish! There was a line but moved fairly fast. The green salad & coffee were good too.
Really loved Au Coin. From the moment you walk in, it has that trendy Montreal buzz - great music, beautiful open kitchen, stylish design, & a warm but lively atmosphere.
The food was excellent. The soft scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, bread, butter & jam felt simple but perfectly done. The yogurt bowl was fresh & beautifully presented, with fruit, granola, honey & chocolate. The potatoes with sauce were rich, crispy & full of flavour, & the salads looked incredibly fresh & generous. Even the coffee was excellent.
What stood out most was the plating & attention to detail - honestly, it was surreal. Nothing felt random. Every dish looked carefully thought out, but still effortless & natural. The service had the same feeling: friendly, professional & relaxed.
Definitely a 10/10. Great food, great ambiance, & a place I'm already looking forward to going back to.
I just tried to sit on the terrace for a meal. I was seated immediately, given water, & then completely forgotten about. I was told no alcohol on the terrace (fine), & the table beside me (that was seated after me & another kind patron) got a round of cocktails while I was ignored & so was the other kind patron. He had a copy of The New Yorker so perhaps he had more patience to sit through the humiliation ritual of waiting. They received the illegal cocktails before anyone looked my way.
I came for lunch 2 weeks ago & the radicchio salad tasted like it was dressed in congealed brown butter, BUT the puffed bread was delicious enough that I wanted to come back to try the pizza. I suppose that won't be happening soon as this was a truly negative experience.
If you advertise yourselves as a neighborhood restaurant & don't take reservations, it's not nice to make your neighbors feel like fools. I hope this can change as this is exactly the type of restaurant I love & would continue to support.
