Arthur's Nosh Bar est un lieu animé et cosy où la nourriture brille souvent, notamment les crêpes au fromage cottage (syrniki), le Latke Smorgasbord, le gravlax et les sandwiches vedettes ainsi que le poulet frit qui récoltent souvent les éloges; les crêpes sont particulièrement décrites comme parmi les meilleures de Montréal, aérées, légères et parfaitement assorties au sirop. L'ambiance est accueillante et énergique, mais peut être bruyante et très fréquentée, et le service peut être lent ou inégal pendant les heures d'affluence. Les temps d'attente sont fréquents le week-end, mais les options d'envoi de message pour avertir lorsque la table est prête et le système de takeout aident, et beaucoup de convives estiment que l'expérience vaut l'attente. Dans l'ensemble, l'établissement offre des saveurs réconfortantes d'inspiration juive, une présentation soignée et une ambiance dynamique qui donnent naturellement envie de revenir, malgré les foules.
The service was good. The people are so polite. The only bad experience I had is the food . It was not good at all for what I was expecting. I paid 50$ for one slice of French toast, half an avocado & two omelette which was very very disappointing.
J'ai commandé des pancakes normaux mais la serveuse s'est trompée & m'a mis des pancakes à la banane (bien sûr avec le prix aussi 😅)
Ça va qu'ils étaient très bons & copieux mais -1* tout de même.

Arthur's Nosh Bar is a really good brunch spot in Montreal. What we like most is the cottage cheese pancakes & the fried eggs, everything is super flavorful & well done.
They don't have an espresso machine, but that doesn't bother us since we actually prefer filter coffee.
Overall, it's an excellent spot for breakfast or brunch in the city. Just keep in mind they don't take reservations, so you usually have to wait a bit, especially on weekends.
J'ai récemment visité ce restaurant avec des invités & j'aimerais partager mon expérience. Nous avons été informés d'un temps d'attente de 1h30 lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 11h. Finalement, nous sommes partis à 15h, après avoir attendu sans fin. J'observais d'autres clients terminer leur repas & partir, tandis que nous restions là, sans nouvelles.
Lorsque j'ai demandé à quelle heure nous pourrions avoir notre table, on m'a répondu qu'il faudrait encore attendre deux heures de plus. J'ai ensuite parlé à une personne à la caisse, mais elle m'a traité très mal au lieu de s'excuser pour le désagrément. C'était embarrassant, car je recommandais ce lieu à mes invités, & ils ne pouvaient pas croire ce qui se passait.
Cette situation a ruiné ma journée & mon temps de qualité avec eux. Je ne sais pas si le restaurant a changé de propriétaire, mais autrefois, Arthur proposait une bonne cuisine en quantité généreuse. Maintenant, ce n'est plus du tout la même chose.
Bien que l'endroit soit devenu plus grand, le service & la qualité de la nourriture ont beaucoup baissé. Si vous souhaitez économiser du temps & de l'argent, je vous conseille de ne pas venir ici.
What kept me coming back to Arthur's for many years was not only the amazing food, but also the service & the familiar faces that made the place feel warm & welcoming. It always felt like coming back to a childhood home, with comforting, home-style cooking.
Sadly, this last visit was a very disappointing experience - both in terms of service & food.
We were a group of four. I completely understand that Sundays are busy, & that's not the issue. The problem was how poorly everything seemed to be managed. Several groups who arrived after us were seated before us, which was frustrating. Eventually, we decided to order takeout instead.
However, the wait time for takeout was excessive. Once again, people who arrived after us were seated, served, & even finished their meals before we received our food. To make matters worse, the person at the cash was quite rude & lacked basic courtesy.
When we finally got our food, it was nothing like what we used to love. The sandwich was underwhelming - something I could have easily made at home. The flavors were unbalanced, & it was overly greasy in an unpleasant way.
Overall, this experience was very sad & disappointing, especially for a place that used to mean so much to me & my friend .
I don't know what the exact words to use but this kinda like a instagram, style over substance kind of place. It's cute & trendy with beautiful staffs. But the food is not good & service is terrible. Staffs are arrogant, only nice towards customers who they think look trendy & expensive. The plates look pretty but the taste is soooo bad.

Me & my dad had a wonderful experience at Arthur's today. I have been before but this was my first time since they renovated the place & it had a wonderful vibe. The staff was amazing. We tried to order some items but they had run out so they gave us a dessert on the house which was very kind. The food was delicious as usual & the wait time was much shorter than previous visits (only 12 minutes). If you haven't been already, I highly recommend it!!
Awful. Overrated. Worst filter coffee of my life. I barely drank it & they charged my 4$! I literally saw people coming in with coffee from across the street from Cafe Campanelli! Also they don't have certain thinks on the menu in the week which was disappointing. What I ordered wasn't anything special. The latkas were good. The best thing were the pancakes but there were only 2 & it's 18$...ridiculous. Never going back.

We were very unlucky to meet the tall guy with black hairs & black beard at the cash at the entrance. He's been very unpleasant, telling us'you can take a sit but you are going to wait from 20 to 45 mins to get the food you want'. There's nothing bad with that sentence, but the tones & the non-verbal language were very unpleasant. Maybe they are so full of clients that they don't need +2 more.

For the food. We ordered the cottage cheese pancake. First bite, heavenly delicious. Little crispy outside, soft inside. Love it. The egg & salami also amazing.
The mc arthur sandwich (fried chicken sandwich) is ok, personally not that special, a lil bit dry.
Probably the best pancake I've ever had 😋 Jesse suggested it to us & im glad he did.
Great brunch overall, the team was so welcoming & smiling. Loved starting my day there hehehe
Nous avons dû faire un peu la queue mais c'était bien organisé : Nous avions donné notre numéro & avons été appelés quand il y avait de la dispo ce qui nous permettait de nous balader en attendant
Surtout ça valait le coup car ce brunch est dingue ! Nous avions la table bar devant la fenêtre c'était idéal pour profiter du brunch & de la vue, & le service était impeccable
Surtout c'était excellent & mention spéciale pour les pancakes qui étaient incroyables, les meilleurs que j'ai jamais mangé je pense !
I only dock a tiny point for the squishy seating, other than that this is THE spot!!! Iconic food, always bringing new friends to Arthur's because it's just that good. Such a beautiful family story too. Come for breakfast, come for brunch. Whatever you choose, make sure you get a cookie on your way out 😉🩵
