The pancake is a meal itself. The perfect balance of sweet & savoury. The staff were great & made me excellent recommendations. I never felt forgotten. A great place for anyone for all occasions
The pancakes were amazing, mix of sweet & salty is just chefs kiss.
A must visit when coming to Montreal!!!
I was lucky & picked a good time to go- had a space at the bar available.
Kind host & service - shout out Alex!
I got the jack Johnson- world famous banana pancakes. The most sweet & savoury pancakes you can have!!!
The egg I got was a side dish but the pancakes would have been enough.
Also seen on Rachel ray & many tv shows!!
Really fantastic place. Make sure you are either prepared to wait a while, or show up at opening time. We were prepared for the long wait, so we enjoyed a coffee at a nearby cafe as we waited for a table to be ready.
The staff member who was in charge of the waitlist was really great. He was perfectly comfortable in both English & French, & very friendly.
Our food was excellent, & came out quickly! I would also recommend the strawberry lemonade iced tea, which was super yum & not too sweet.
The BEST pancakes you'll ever taste in Montreal!! So original & deeeelicious!!!! Even their avocado toast is yummy, but you MUST try the pancakes. They are a perfect balance of sweet & salty….crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside!! Definitely worth the hype & the wait!
Visited on a busy Saturday at 11 AM & was quoted a 1.5-hour wait ,got the call back in just under an hour. Worth it? Absolutely.
The Grand Slam is a bold, satisfying plate: crispy Nashville fried chicken that's perfectly spiced, a fiery house sauce that brings serious heat, & maple syrup that balances everything with a sweet finish. The syrniki were fluffy & light, the runny eggs added richness, & the beef bacon brought that salty crunch to tie it all together. Every bite was layered & indulgent.
Arthur's Nosh Bar was highly recommended to us during our visit to Montréal, & we can understand why.
This restaurant has a great dining area that's well lit & relaxing. The staff are all friendly & helpful. There is also a lot of merchandise for sale.
We ordered the Strawberry Syrniki for breakfast (a cheesy pancake). It was one of the best breakfasts we had on our visit. The pancake wasn't too sweet (which is what we've noticed from other breakfast places in Canada) & & strawberries & maple syrup enhanced the flavour. Highly recommend Arthur's Nosh Bar for breakfast.
Arthur's Nosh Bar is a restaurant on Notre-Dame St. W. in St. Henri. Owners Alex Cohen & Raegan Steinberg, a married couple, worked at Joe Beef before opening Arthurs.
The restaurant serves Jewish classics with a twist. I've been wanting to go here since last year for brunch, but I never got the chance.
I decided to try it because I've never been to a Jewish inspired restaurant before, & the ratings seemed good.
I walked in the heat & sun to the middle of a very odd place on a weekday afternoon to get to here. I was surprised it was packed & had a waitlist.
I ordered:
LATKE SMORGASBORD
SOFT SCRAMBLED EGGS, LATKE, SALMON GRAVLAX, ISRAELI SALAD, PRESSED CHALLAH ROLL
I quite liked it, especially the pressed challah roll. It's nice that it's something sweet, served with other savoury items. The latke was good too. Out of the menu items, this one is popular alongside with the pancakes (but I ordered Katie smorgasbord because it seemed more unique to me).
This place gets brunch. Everything we tried was packed with flavour & personality. The McArthur sandwich? Savoury, messy, & damn satisfying with turkey, egg, & pickles on a sesame bagel. The classic plate with scrambled eggs, challah, latke, & smoked salmon looked fancy & felt comforting.
Waffles with beef bacon , salami & egg hit that sweet-salty-crunchy spot, & the shakshuka was warm, not too spicy, & perfect for scooping with pita. Portions are generous, the vibe is lively, & even if there's a wait-it's worth it.
I've been to this place many times over the years. The food has always been great, never disappoints. Today we went for the first time as a family. We brought our 6 month old + our dog & sat in the patio. The entire staff was so sweet to us! From offering water for our dog to making extra cooked scrambled eggs for our baby… was a lovely experience!
I discovered the best chicken sandwich (McArthur) here! If you have a sweet tooth, their pancakes are a must-try, & they even offer kid-sized portions. Eggplant lovers shouldn't miss their Shakshuka. Highly recommend this spot for brunch. The only downside is the wait time, so be prepared.
Cute place. Huge line. Good food. But pancakes were the next pancakes of my life. Crispy on the outside , fluffy in the inside , salty & sweet at the same time.
Arthur's Nosh Bar - A Brunch Delight in Montreal!** Arthur's Nosh Bar in Montreal is a gem for brunch lovers! Nestled in the vibrant Saint-Henri neighborhood, this place offers a unique twist on Jewish deli classics. The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming, with a bright & cheerful interior adorned with family photos & charming decor. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional & creative dishes. I highly recommend the latke smorgasbord & the challah grilled cheese-both are absolutely delicious. The blueberry syrniki pancakes were fluffy & perfectly sweet, making for a fantastic start to the day. Service was friendly & attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Despite the long wait times during peak hours, the food & ambiance make it worth the wait. Special shoutout to the staff for their warm hospitality! If you're in Montreal & looking for a memorable brunch spot, Arthur's Nosh Bar is a must-visit. Can't wait to return & try more from their menu!
Spectacular, everything was great, the sweet welcoming waitress, to the ambience & the food 👌🏻
We had the Smorgasbord, blueberry syriki, & coffee. I will definitely be back! The food was amazing! I was surprised at how fluffy & good it was. It was a perfect amount of sweet. I will come back just for the pancake. The fried chicken from the grand slam was spicy full of flavor. I can't wait to come back.
Perfect brunch spot in MTL. Ambiance is wonderful & the food is great. Tho, I'd stick with non sweet meals since it is very hard to finish it alone, unless you have a sweet tooth.
