I was with someone, who recently sent a review explaining what happened, & I want to clarify the situation because your response changed the facts.
We arrived as three out of the four people in our group. The fourth person arrived about 5 to 10 minutes later at most. However, we were refused a table because all four people were not present yet. Because of this rule, we lost our table & it was given to someone else, even though we could have easily ordered as three people while the fourth person ordered later upon arrival.
Instead, we were told we would now have to wait 45 minutes for another table, even though we had arrived before the people who ended up getting our table.
At that point, we decided it would be better to go find another restaurant. Since it was about -10°C outside, we briefly stood in the entrance just to look on our phones & decide where to go next. The waitress then came over & told us we were'loitering' & that we had to leave, even though there was no one waiting there & most people were either already inside or being told they would have to wait 45-50 minutes.
Following that person review, your reply claimed that only two of the four of us had arrived & that we had been waiting 30 minutes for the next « 2 » others to arrive. Instead of apologizing, you changed the facts of what actually happened & lie.
Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this place at all. The service was poor, the atmosphere was unpleasant, & it certainly did not feel like the customer mattered here.
I've been going to Arthur's for years & it's one of those places that always delivers. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, & you can really feel the heart behind the place. I've also known the owner for decades, & she is truly one of the hardest-working & most genuine people I know. She pours so much into her restaurant & it shows in every detail. Beyond that, she's incredibly supportive of the people around her, always lifting up her peers & helping anyone she can. Places like this are special. Great food, great people, & a real sense of community. Highly recommend. 👌

Very disappointed with our experience at Arthur's. We waited in line for quite a while & when a table finally became available, they refused to seat us because one person in our group hadn't arrived yet. Our group was only four people & our friend was literally two minutes away, but instead of letting us sit down & wait, they gave the table to someone else. We then had to wait another 40 minutes for a table.
To make things worse, the server told us we had to wait outside because it was a'fire hazard,' even though there was no longer anyone else waiting inside. It was freezing outside & the way it was handled felt very dismissive.
The service was extremely unpleasant & the staff member we dealt with was quite rude. Overall it was a very frustrating experience & unfortunately we won't be going back. There are so many great restaurants in Montreal with welcoming service, & I would definitely recommend choosing one of those instead.
Le temps passé à Arthur's Nosh Bar était vraiment agréable. Tout ce que nous avons mangé était très frais & délicieux. L'ambiance était très agréable & relaxante, & la musique était également très agréable. Nous étions également très satisfaits de la rapidité du service & de l'attention du personnel. Les prix sont assez raisonnables & très abordables pour la qualité. Je recommande à tout le monde d'essayer cet endroit!
If I could give them 6 stars I would! The food was outstanding. Not just 1 dish, everything on the plate was phenomenal. This was the best brunch I've ever had. Service was friendly & atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!
Excellente expérience chez Arthur's Nosh Bar dans le Sud-Ouest de Montréal. La nourriture est tout simplement délicieuse, réconfortante & pleine de saveurs. Les portions sont généreuses, les ingrédients de qualité & chaque plat est préparé avec soin.
L'ambiance est conviviale, décontractée & authentique, exactement ce qu'on aime dans le Sud-Ouest. Le service est sympathique, efficace & attentionné, sans prétention.
C'est une adresse incontournable pour un brunch ou un repas gourmand dans le quartier. Une place où on a envie de revenir encore & encore.
Je recommande fortement Arthur's Nosh Bar à toute personne qui cherche une excellente adresse dans le Sud-Ouest de Montréal.

Incredible breakfast & sandwiches. I had the breakfast sandwich & cottage cheese pancakes & both could qualify as the absolute best of their kind. I couldn't recommend this place enough & that was before I had their incredible chicken schnitzel sandwich which is a MUST EAT.
Tout était parfait & excellent. J'ai pris le grand slam qui semblait leur plat vedette & je n'ai jamais rien mangé comme ça, c'était vraiment bon. Prennez garde à la sauce piquante, elle a du kick mais excellente. On me l'a recommandé en à côté avec mise en garde - merci pour cette expérience culinaire - big like 👍
Went to Arthur's for brunch & it was totally worth it! We were told the wait time would be about 50 minutes, but we got a text within 20 minutes that our table was ready, such a great surprise.
The service was amazing. Our server Nina was super friendly & quick, making the whole experience even better. Jessie was also fantastic with his dish recommendations, everything he suggested was a hit.
& the pancakes… hands down the best 🤩
Highly recommend trying Arthur's if you're in Montreal!

Not only is this the best breakfast place I've ever had in my life. This is potentially the best restaurant in the world. What a pancake how did you even come up with this recipe…. Signore arturo…. Te salute…. 10/10 coming badk & telling everyone about this place.
Recommended to take afternoon off after a combination of breakfast sandwich & the pancakes…. Ming
First time to this og branch. I went to the Cathcart one before since it accepts reservations & not this one.
Here's a comparison btw the two:
- Portions are much more generous here than Cathcart & better too taste-wise interestingly.
- Busier so expect to wait for a table. We went on a weekday at 11.30 & had to wait a little bit for a table.
- Service was much faster & much nicer.
Overall better experience than Cathcart. Would recommend aside from the no reservation policy.
Really fantastic place. Make sure you are either prepared to wait a while, or show up at opening time. We were prepared for the long wait, so we enjoyed a coffee at a nearby cafe as we waited for a table to be ready.
The staff member who was in charge of the waitlist was really great. He was perfectly comfortable in both English & French, & very friendly.
Our food was excellent, & came out quickly! I would also recommend the strawberry lemonade iced tea, which was super yum & not too sweet.
Le restaurant nous a été recommandé par un ami. On a attendu 1h05 pour avoir une table. Le choix n'est pas terrible & j'ai été très déçue par mon plat : pas bon, tout simplement. Même les pancakes avaient un arrière-goût.
Il y a beaucoup de monde dans ce restaurant, mais honnêtement, je ne comprends pas pourquoi.
Sinon, l'ambiance & la déco sont super, & le service très bien : la serveuse était vraiment professionnelle.
J'étais avec mes deux filles, & elles n'ont carrément rien mangé à part des frites. Voilà.

Un peu déçue d'avoir eu à attendre 40 min un lundi un peu avant midi & finalement atterrir au comptoir, Mais comme j'habite pas proche je m'y suis résignée.
Assis au comptoir je ne recommande pas si le resto est plein car on se fait bousculé constamment.
Le sandwich était ok sans plus.... j'avais commandé une frite & pour 9$ j'ai eu un fond de bouts de frites....un peu décevant je n'ai pas pris de photo d'ailleurs. Le drink était très bon.
J'aimerais y retourner pour goûter les pancakes qui ont l'air wow.
Arthur's Nosh Bar was highly recommended to us during our visit to Montréal, & we can understand why.
This restaurant has a great dining area that's well lit & relaxing. The staff are all friendly & helpful. There is also a lot of merchandise for sale.
We ordered the Strawberry Syrniki for breakfast (a cheesy pancake). It was one of the best breakfasts we had on our visit. The pancake wasn't too sweet (which is what we've noticed from other breakfast places in Canada) & & strawberries & maple syrup enhanced the flavour. Highly recommend Arthur's Nosh Bar for breakfast.
Une très belle adresse pour le brunch, notamment pour leurs pancakes, qui sont devenus une vraie signature du lieu. Mais les autres plats, aux inspirations moyen-orientales, valent tout autant le détour. Tout est parfaitement exécuté, nous nous sommes régalés. Le service est impeccable. Attention beaucoup d'attente, nous avons eu une table au bout d'une heure. Mais je recommande sans hésiter !
