Fantastic brunch spot!! The Latke Smorgasbord is a great option to have a little bit of everything. The standout however are the pancakes….i believe they are made with cottage cheese. They were unlike any other pancakes I have had before. Soft, fluffy & slight savoury, a perfect combo with the maple syrup.
Incredible breakfast & sandwiches. I had the breakfast sandwich & cottage cheese pancakes & both could qualify as the absolute best of their kind. I couldn't recommend this place enough & that was before I had their incredible chicken schnitzel sandwich which is a MUST EAT.
Great place to go for brunch with friends! There's usually a wait, but it's totally worth it. Their cottage pancakes are amazing & the salmon sandwich is also delicious.
We were a group of 3 & went on a weekday around 12 for brunch. The place was very packed & it felt like we were rushed to order. We got the cottage cheese pancakes that were absolutely fantastic, the Latke Smorgasbord was decent as well. The place is very aesthetic & looks clean.
Amazing brunch, super friendly service, nice diner style interior. The cottage cheese pancakes with blueberries were sublime
DELISH 10/10. came on a weekday ~12 & it was busy (30min wait) so we just got takeout since we were in a bit of a rush.
ordered syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) aka best pancakes of my LIFE, the bagel + lox (so good so fresh) & the mcarthur- the chicken sandwich also delish. loved everything & would love to return here if i'm back in montreal
We tried Arthur Nosh Bar 2 months ago & it was amazing, we sat at the terrasse & ordered these.. (See pics below) .. all the food are very tasty!! Esp the soft scrambled egg yum! Super umami!! With the Salami & Challah Roll!! Best combo!! . Cottage cheese pancakes really good as well, I just find it a bit overpriced? But really good for sharing!!
Will come back!! 🙂🙂🙂
Best breakfast in MTL no doubt. Their smoke salmon bagel has to be my favourite of the city. Their cottage cheese pancakes are such a nice surprise. I love everything about this place but it is a little cramped
A good old fashioned Jewish deli with the traditional offerings as well as some Arthur's-only creations. I had the Syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) & the gravlax while my partner had the matzah ball soup. All were delicious. If you want a good cup of coffee go across the street.
Fabulous nosh indeed. I'm not typically a'pancake' person, but the'cottage cheese pancakes' were out of this world. Light & very fluffy! Arrive after 11:00 am if you're wanting to choose from the sandwich menu & craving their matzah ball soup.
I love their cottage cheese pancake the most. The rest is okay. The pancake is truly outstanding!!
The cafe vibe is great. The decoration is beautiful. We ordered The hot chocolate, tense & tastes good. For the food. We ordered the cottage cheese pancake. First bite, heavenly delicious. Little crispy outside, soft inside. Love it. The mc arthur sandwich (fried chicken sandwich) is ok, personally not that special, a lil bit dry. After the main…Take awhile to get the fries, we asked already. The texture is really, but as it with the vinegar so personally the sour taste too strong.
We just had the best breakfast in Montréal, & it definitely lives up to the hype! The atmosphere is vibrant, & the servers are always attentive, ensuring that service remains top-notch without compromising on the quality of the food. We tried the Syrniki cottage cheese pancakes & the Moroccan toast, both of which were hearty & absolutely worth every penny. The coffee was excellent too. Reminded us of one of those vintage cafes that you see on Pinterest. Anyone who visits this place is sure to leave as a fan. Sending lots of love from Ottawa!
Tried the pancakes (got them with banana) & the chicken sandwich. The pancakes were the star of the show - they do have a lot of syrup on them but the flake salt they use, banana, & cottage cheese base helps balance it out. Never had a pancake like it, would recommend! One star off as my phone number was entered incorrectly on the wait list so we were entirely missed until we asked 45 min later where we were in the wait list. Not a huge deal, would still go back next time we visit!
Absolutely amazing brunch!! The cottage cheese pancakes are literally to die for! The service was on point. Server was kind, prompt & gave great advice. The inside of the restaurant is so lovely. Bathrooms were very clean. All around I think this is a really amazing place. I highly recommend!! Kudos to the owners for doing such a wonderful job.
The staff was super nice & attentive. While the food was good, it was not what I expected hearing about this place for years. The avocado toast was good, egg was cooked perfectly. The Challah with butter & honey was cut too thick & didn't have enough honey, only tasted of grease butter, I was provided more honey upon request. The famous cottage cheese pancakes: maybe it was just a bad batch but they were doughy & raw towards the middle. The flavour had potential but overshadowed by the underdone inside. Overall it was an ok experience but not worth the hours long wait that some people sat there for.
Pretty long wait unless you go right when they open but the food is real good, though expensive. Try the cottage cheese pancakes.
This is another tourist draw with a lot of social media hype. There's a long wait time (over an hour, in our case for a late brunch/early lunch). We went there to try the highly recommended cottage cheese pancakes; we tried both the plain ones & the ones with bananas. Both were pretty disappointing, considering the price & the wait time. Overall, this is a pretty average spot with very good social media marketing & hype to draw tourists.
Massively hyped, & massively underdelivered. Heard a lot of good things, so gave it a go, & my, was this a disappointment. I don't care how your brunch place operates, but you NEVER charge $4.75 for coffee, that's obscene. It's regular, filter coffee, nearly 5$ is an outrage. Ordered the smorgasbord, so let's go around the plate: Gravlax: Pretty good, nice & salty, tender, quite good. Saying the meal comes with caviar & when giving a teaspoon of it is odd though, make it a garnish, but don't advertise it. Best part o the plated. Pressed Chalalh roll: Not sure how it was pressed, fried in a bit of butter, good, but a basic challah roll. Latke: Way too think & as a result the inside was super dry. Would have MUCH preferred the same amount of potato as two thinner latkes that would have had greated consistency. The outside was nice & crispy, but this was a potato puck. Mentioning the sour cream & the apple sauce was a selling point. Providing 0.5-1 tsp of each is stupid, make it an unnamed granish. Israeli salad: This is NOT an Israeli salad. It is cucumber, white onion & dill. A true Israeli salad rarely has dill, has olive oil, salt, pepper, & especially TOMATO. That's so key. Also, usually scallions instead of white onion. Call it a side salad, call it a cucumber salad, but this is NOT an Israeli salad. Scrambled eggs were good. No complaints there. Luckily, I had some of my sister's cottage cheese pancakes & those were quite tasty. Would have those again if I ever had to go back. Two mains, 2 coffee's, tax & tip, $62. Would be okay with that price if the quality was there, but the quality was not there. Trendy should also have an element of good. This was sub-par.
