Yes, they are one of the best brunch spots in Montreal. They have a great menu, with dishes executed to a very high standard. The coffee could be better to match the quality of the food. I've tried almost everything on the menu & have no complaints. Service is generally good, especially at the Cathcart location, which accepts reservations & feels less chaotic than the St-Henri one. The space is also beautiful.
Nice place, good food but expect the bite of high prices. I got an avocado toast, with 1 egg & thin slice of smoked salmon with a side of potatoes, no coffee or alcohol & I paid (for one person) +$50 tips included. Portions are fairly small if you were wondering but the food is good.
For gluten or lactose intolerance they have very little option, meaning 1 that had no cheese on it, the avocado toast. My friends paid around the same but general consensus … & again food & the quality of the ingredients was also good.
One of the worst plates I've had in MTL. I ordered Avo toast. The toast was made with butter with strong taste of diary, on top of that was frozen smashed avocado, the fried egg at the top was supped to be warm but was literally cooled down by the frozen avocado, this weird warm & frozen combo was hell. In addition, the whole plate was too salty, the salt shadowed all the other flavour. Also this combo of salty acide (there's lemon in the avocado) strangely triggers the fishy taste from the egg. The portion of the plate was small compared to Thai price: one small bread + (max half of) smashed avocado + 1 slice of tomato + 1 fried egg for $18, not really big for a classic brunch. I also ordered a black coffee which was not served, so by the end of the meal, I had to wear back the jacket. This meal upsets my stomach, honestly I'm more sure if the frozen avocado was fresh.
Excellent food, good location & atmosphere. We had the shakshouka, our friends had the schnitzel & salmon benny & everything was fire! Love the Mediterranean influence. Coffee was also good. Would recommend.
so HAPPY to be able to book a reservation which is very important when you have a toddler- we enjoyed our brunch & ordered plenty of dishes to share, everything was devoured! the highlight was the pancakes but unfortunately it was only for a limited time, I hope they keep it on the menu as it was phenomenal! coffee is good as always! ❤?
I reserved a table for my girlfriend & me, & we were served very quickly. The service was excellent, especially from Alexis, who took great care of us with superb attention. The food was delicious we had pancakes, French toast, a filter coffee, & a mocha which fully justifies the 5 stars for both cuisine & service.
However, I gave 2 stars for the ambiance. The floor manager, Frédérick, kept ringing a small bell multiple times with every order while shouting'Service!' loudly. It created a tense atmosphere, & we could clearly see the waitstaff becoming stressed by it. The energy around the kitchen felt heavy, as his stress & frustration seemed to affect the whole team. I believe the manager should consider a calmer, more respectful way to signal that an order is ready. It would greatly improve the overall dining experience & support the staff's well-being
The decor is nice because of the Cathcart natural light & all the surrounding plants
The coffee & food was good but unfortunately, the service was very slow. We were a table of 4 & almost none of us ate at the same time because the plates arrived at different time & we wanted to eat while it was warm
It's a nice cute place to go brunch. Not much options coffee wise but great food.
Best brunch place downtown, & for many reasons! Located in the heart of downtown with a beautiful spot in PVM, it is way bigger than their other location, & always the option of sitting in the cathcart. Amazing food, the pancakes, salmon & breakfast sandwich are definitely the best plate on the menue. I also recommend trying their coffee menue, their vanilla latte are delicious !finally, the staff is very helpful & can easily make you navigate through their high quality menue.
The food was good but better at the main location in St Henri. The service was awful - not only slow but the orders came mixed up. Slowness is not ideal at lunch time when your main clientele is office workers on lunch. My friend asked for an iced coffee with oat milk & got it black, I ordered a coffee that I never got (& realized only as I was leaving that I was charged the $4 for a filtered coffee I never received...). No one came to check on us after our food came. The food was good & standard for Arthur's. Irritated about spending a combined $10+ on coffee & both orders being wrong/no shows. I wouldn't come back here. Visit the OG location for the proper experience. $67 for two lunches (breakfast sandwich & smorgasbord), two coffees & a $10 side of latkes (2, which were each about the circumference of a tangerine) feels a bit excessive when service is terrible.
The food is good here. The menu changes a little bit from time to time & unfortunately it's not flexible at all. We wanted the eggs & salami to be as a sandwich, but they refused to fix it the way we wanted. The pancakes weren't as crispy as they should be. The coffee is tasteless, but it's the only coffee they have.

I am a big fan of Arthur's, I have been many times to the original location. The pancakes aren't as good as the original location. Also, can you get better coffee ?

Good food. Excellent service. My eggs were done perfectly, & Arthur's has the best grilled salami in the city. The challah roll & latke were equally tasty. The only reason not to give the restaurant 5 stars is the very bad coffee. It was weak &, at best, lukewarm. My friend & I asked for our cups to be replaced, but the 2nd cups were no warmer. This is a major flaw considering that breakfast/brunch items are a specialty of Arthur's. Also, my friend was bothered by the fact that a fork that had fallen on the floor a few paces from us was not picked up. by anyone. After a half hour or so he stood up & picked it up himself

Our first time at the Cathcart location, it's right below my office so the convenience is nice! We typically visit the original location but didnt feel like waiting 1.5hrs in the cold which is why we appreciated the ability to be able to make a reso at this location! Our female asian server was good, she didnt have time to return to take our drink orders which was unfortunate b/c we had intended to order cocktails (missed opportunity to upsell). Eventually, we were able to order 1 hot coffee, I would skip this drink if possible. Food was consistent & the eager service from 2 support staff to provide us a take out box was noticed! The male server who came to process our payment was the real unsung hero, he took the time to chat with us & let us know that the Cathcart location will be open on Saturdays & they intend to launch a new brunch menu items specific to their location, which was welcome news to us since we live in Griffintown & within walking distance! He was wonderful & made us feel valued & welcome. Were excited to return on a future Saturday to try the new brunch items, thanks!

The service was extremely bad & ridiculously slow. Took almost 20 minutes to get coffee. The food was good but the latkes weren't hot & didn't taste fresh. Maybe it was a fluke because it was right before Christmas. I do hope Arthur's Cathcart starts to open on the weekends going forward. It's always busy so why not?!

Second time I visit & I love the food, it s next level. The service though is lacklustre. After ordering, good luck getting a coffee refill & you have to flag down the waitress for bill. Although it is not in your control, the atmosphere is loud when crowded. Tables could use more spacing for some privacy.

Great spot downtown for a great breakfast! I was blown away buy the food & the unlimited coffee! We will be back!

So delicious! Serving staff were all friendly & helpful although they were a little overwhelmed. Food took forever & came to the table one plate at a time. One of our party did not receive their meal until quite a while after everybody else. Also, please up your coffee game! Basic filter coffee is so.... basic. But the food was excellent.
