Arriba Burrito specializes in the preparation of substantial, hand-held Latin American offerings that prioritize bold spices and fresh ingredients. The menu features generously filled flour tortillas packed with slow-cooked proteins, zesty salsas, and seasoned grains tailored for a casual, fast-paced culinary environment. As a dual-purpose establishment, the space integrates a functional bar area that serves a variety of spirited beverages designed to complement the savory, heat-driven profile of the food. Every order emphasizes speed and flavor consistency, ensuring that each component from the guacamole to the beans remains distinct. Guests encounter a straightforward, utilitarian atmosphere where the focus remains entirely on the production of satisfying, hearty wraps and refreshing cocktails. This efficient model provides a direct experience for those seeking flavorful, reliable sustenance in a high-energy urban setting.
Arriba Burrito offers an authentic Mexican culinary experience that many diners find both delicious and generous, with standout items like birria tacos, nachos, and crème brûlée pancakes frequently praised for their quality and presentation. While the vibrant atmosphere, thoughtful decor, and friendly staff contribute to a memorable visit, experiences with service consistency and seating comfort vary significantly. Some patrons appreciate the attentive care and welcoming vibe, often highlighting specific servers who enhance the experience, while others note challenges such as long wait times, occasional errors in order delivery, and cramped seating arrangements. Although the price point is reflective of the portion sizes and quality for many, others find it somewhat high, and views on the necessity of reservations or the intensity of the music differ, making it a popular yet polarising destination in Montreal.
Just like there are tourist traps, there are'influencer traps': restaurants that look visually appealing on a reel & are the hot new thing getting promoted by all the local social media influencers but aren't really all that special. This is one such place.
We had nachos, tacos & a burrito & none of it tasted all that great. We've had much better at many other places. The tacos were particularly disappointing.
The service was also quite slow despite ample staff. It took forever to get our tacos & burrito to the point where we thought we had been forgotten.
Last note: I asked for hot sauce for my tacos & was given a bottle of lime & chili Cholula... that summed up the evening for me.
Arriba Burrito was made to look good on a social media reel. Not much else. At least the vibe is good...
Really enjoyed this place! Food was really good, but I do feel like it's slightly overhyped. I had the chicken tacos, my boyfriend had the chicken quesadilla, & we split the nachos. While everything was super yummy, I wouldn't say it's the best Mexican food I've ever tried. Slightly too expensive imo, but still worth a try, would probably go back.

KARAN made our first brunch at Montreal a very special experience, came here for my friend's bachelorette & we all had very good time. The food is phenomenal & the vibes are accumulating. Definitely try their french toast, very yummy.
Amazing service! We loved Karan - he was so helpful. Highly recommended the birira tacos, enchiladas, & the French toast. The tiramisu espresso martini is also amazing. They really cater to your dietary restrictions even for a big group which is awesome. Loved the experience! Would definitely come back again in a heartbeat!!!
Love the food & the vibe! We really enjoyed the Birria tacos & the Al Pastor tacos. Servers were very friendly, but my only complaint is about the timing of the food. My bf received his dish about a few minutes before mine came out & it seems this was happening at quite a few tables. Not great given your dish starts getting cold while waiting for the others to arrive, but other than that, we had a great time & will be back!
We had such a lovely time at Arriba Burrito! The food was absolutely delicious, flavorful, fresh, & satisfying. There was a bit of a mix-up with our order & a slight delay, but honestly, we didn't even mind because we were having such a great time enjoying the atmosphere.
To our surprise, the owner personally came out to apologize for the mix-up. We weren't upset at all, but the gesture meant a lot. It showed how much they care about their customers & the experience they provide. That kind of personal touch is rare & really appreciated.
Overall, the service was warm & attentive, & the food was more than worth the wait. We'll definitely be coming back & bringing friends with us! Highly recommend. 🌯🌟
