Review Summary

At Arahova Souvlaki, reviews present a mixed picture: many diners praise authentic Greek flavors, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, with value and friendly service in several visits, especially for takeout or casual dining; however other comments highlight inconsistency in both food and service, such as feta that lacks seasoning, grape leaves described as the worst ever, vegetables rushed in preparation, lamb chops that are small or overdone, rice that is undercooked, and occasional unfriendly or fatigued staff that can make some visits less enjoyable and vary from visit to visit.

Server was not very friendly. No smile & did not explain that if you ask to remove the rice & potatoes from your plate you will not get more salad. Which comes only in a small bowl

My wife gave me notice that she was on strike & that the kitchen was closed & since we were both famished we had no choice but to hop into our car & quickly drive to Arahova Souvlaki on Decarie Boulevard. We walked into a pleasant & brightly lit dining room & ordered the Old Fashioned Gyro Plate that came with a salad with feta cheese & tomatoes, Greek potatoes, pieces of pita bread,Tzatziki & of course it was loaded with juicy pieces of Gyro meat. We really enjoyed our meal & because the portions were so large we took what we could not eat home with us. Also I have to mention that service was fast & friendly. So what was my opinion of Arahova Souvlaki. All I can say is what the Greeks would shout out - OPA!!!

Beautiful, clean restaurant, nice professional service, delicious, fresh Greek food. Had the Chicken souvflaki & Pork souvlaki players, one with traditional Greek salad & rice, the other with Arahova green salad & geek potatoes, simply delicious. All with a side of sliced oiled hot pita triangles & tzatziki. Definitely recommended.

I used to remember eating at any Arahova restaurant was a big treat , now days almost every single Arahova establishment is dipping towards the gutted, ordered through DD pita was cold , barely anything inside the cold almost stale pita bread , Luke warm pilaf , 4 small pieces of Greek plain potatoes, no longer a treat , but to avoid list places to dine.

Good greek place. Food is tasty overall. Greek potatoes were bomb! Service was a bit slow when we visited, especially the place being almost empty, it took time for the waitress to take our order. Otherwise good experience. No parking, prepare to look on the street.

Disappointed.
We have been here previously & were happy, but this time we were disappointed. Ordered 2 lamb souvlaki pita dinners to go.
We were happy to see the lamb as it wasn't previously on the menu.
Turns out, the lamb was so tasteless & tough it was like chewing shoe leather. Each piece had to be removed from the pita & chewed separately for several minutes just so we could swallow it. (Great exercise for the jaw.)
The salads & potatoes were OK.
