Antipasto is a truly beautiful restaurant set inside a stunning historic train station. The atmosphere alone makes it a unique & memorable place to dine. The space is full of character & charm.
The service was also excellent. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome throughout our visit.
Unfortunately, the food didn't match the quality of the setting or service. While our meals arrived very quickly, they were only lukewarm, which made it feel like they had been pre-prepared rather than freshly made. The sauces, in particular, tasted overly processed more like something from a can than made in-house.
Overall, Antipasto has so much potential given its beautiful location & great staff, but the food quality & execution need improvement to truly match the experience.
Went here with my family for a quick bite after a day on the slopes.
Didn't know what to expect but what a pleasant surprise to find both good food & excellent service.
Great atmosphere in the old train station turned into a restaurant. Had a warm & inviting feel.
Food reminded us of home cooking.
Drinks, appetizers & mains were served quickly & with a smile.
Our server Joanie, went beyond expectations for a server. She was pleasant, engaging & just made us feel like when we're at home.
Thanks for a great evening Antipasto!!!!
It's a Tuesday afternoon & alot of restaurants are closed nearby. It's a well-liked Italian restaurant in downtown Saint-Jovite (Mont-Tremblant), housed in a restored heritage building - the former train station.
We ordered a bottle of white wine, beef carpaccio, mussels, onion soup, pizza, & pesto pasta (for 4 people). There was only one waitress for the entire section, & she was busy running around the whole time.
Food was average. Portion size was great & worth the price. There was outdoor parking & street parking for free.
Great pizza! Server was friendly, accommodating of our English speaking table, & attentive.
Fun atmosphere with historic photos & feel of its original use as a train station.
Disappointing food & seating, but kind service. Party of 6 diners. The lasagna was dry & inedible (to their credit, it was removed from the bill once we brought it to their attention). Plates were generally bland, alfredo sauce particularly lacking salt & garlic. Out of two carbonara dishes, one was served lukewarm.
The biggest issue was seating. We were placed next to the busboy station, which was gross, unappetizing & noisy. Dirty plates with leftover food & used napkins were repeatedly dumped about a foot from our table in open bins, in full view of 2 seated at our table. We also noticed plates straight from the kitchen being held in the same area for 4-5 minutes before being served, obviously losing heat while surrounded by dirty dishes & possible contamination from the food dumping. This area really needs to be redesigned or closed off, as it's not appropriate for guest seating.
On a positive note, the service was nice & attentive, the old train station setting has a nice cachet, & the escargot hors d'oeuvres were very good with lots of garlic & the prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, those positives didn't make up for the food quality & seating experience.
Beautiful enchanting old train station (I think). Definitely make a stop if you are in the area
Lovely Italian restaurant built inside the old train station. Very quaint & appealing decor. The food was simply excellent, both pasta dishes were so delicious! We highly recommend! The service was friendly & attentive. We enjoyed our visit very much. Only downside was the desserts; they were a bit disappointing. Tiramisu was over-soaked & quite soggy. & the cream in the cannolis was overly stiff & a bit bitter.
Cool spot for Italian fare after a day on the mountain! Located in an old train station, service was fast, food was excellent, would come back to eat here!
The food was amazing. An old train station. We had appetizers: Garlic bread with Swiss cheese 😋. Escargot in garlic butter. Mains; Penne pasta with veal in a rose sauce. Benny pasta. Delicious 😋
Beautiful restaurant in an old wooden building, use to be a train station or something. We had the all dressed pizza, carbonara, Arabiata & the veal. Pastas were ok, I suggest to skip pasta & go for the Pizza & veal wich were delicious. Also had a lovely waitress. Good experience overall
We had a lovely & quick dinner at this gem, recommended by our hotel concierge. The place was packed on a chilly Saturday night, we were a walk in at 8pm & seated within 20m. It is a well run, efficient operation with friendly staff. Our pasta was delicious, & we enjoyed the ambience of an old train station.
If you're visiting Mont-Tremblant & want a true italian cuisine experience, you need to go to Antipasto. Originally opened in 1984, this beloved Italian restaurant later found its permanent home inside the beautifully restored Canadian Pacific Railway station, reopening on June 30, 1988. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time, where the history of the building blends perfectly with the warm, lively atmosphere of the restaurant.
There's plenty of space for large gatherings, & as you walk through, you'll appreciate the character & stories held within the walls. The kitchen is spotless, & you can see how much care & attention the chefs put into every dish.
We came with a group of 16 & had an amazing time delicious food, welcoming service, & an experience that felt both special & authentic. If you're in Mont-Tremblant, make sure Anyipasto is on your list!
This was the second time I have visited, & again it certainly did not disappoint! Nice family-style Italian restaurant set in an old train station, great for families, but do not underestimate their food quality. It is very good! & the portions are decent if you are hungry. We could not finish our dinners & our party ended up taking some food home. We stayed at the village in Mont Tremblant but we knew last time we visited & explored the area, there are many good restaurants outside the tourist area. 15 minutes is not too far to drive to the town of Mont Tremblant to enjoy some good eats! I do plan to return here again next time we come to visit. Make sure you make reservations as it is always busy for dinner.
Shouette ambiance rétro & confortable.
Pizza & pâtes excellentes.
Très bon service, avec stationnement.
Un arrêt qui s'impose ! :)
Food is delicious & service really great. A beautiful historic train station now restaurant with great ambiance. A must go to if here for a Tremblant trip. Highly recommend
Very neat restaurant inside of an old train station. Definitely make reservations for quick seating because the restaurant gets busy. The server we had was excellent, great conversation, & fast service. The food was excellent & so were the drinks.
Located in an old train station, the decor is fun & on theme. Staff is friendly & courteous.
Great food. A bowl of mussels is so generous. It was a lot but I love it! For $19 that's a deal. My wife & I also had wood baked pizza for $22. Very delicious. Server is amazing for suggesting which drinks to have. She is very thoughtful to refill our glasses & offer extra plate my my mussels shells. The restaurant is the old train station which is so cool. But overall the food & staff are great & friendly. Ambiance takes you back in 1930s when the station was built.
