Les plats de fruits de mer et de grillades se demarcquent par leur fraicheur et leur saveur, avec des coups de coeur pour le crudo de pétoncles, le poulpe et les calamars, la paella et le plateau mixte; les desserts comme le pouding chomeur et les natas font aussi partie des satisfactions pour certains. Le service est generalement attentif et professionnel, les cocktails creatifs et bien equilibrés et le personnel sait guider les choix et s'adapter aux allergies, mais quelques avis signalent des delais d'attente plus longs et des plats arrivant tièdes ou secs, et certains trouvent les prix eleves par rapport a l'experience. Malgré cela, Amalia est souvent recommandée pour une sortie entre amis ou en couple, pour une occasion speciale ou une soiree gourmande, et donne envie de revenir pour revivre cette combination de saveurs portugaises, de convivialite et de belle presentation.

The bacalhau croquettes, chicken wings, & the mixed grill (offered for 2 or 4) were all beyond perfect; beautiful presentation, plenty of food (ordered with fries), & all meats/seafood cooked to perfection.
Bonus: The espresso martinis made with pastel de nata cream was easily the best espresso martini I've ever had, & dessert was perfectly balanced with them.

went with my better half & her mom. We walked in & the place was really quiet… then a young lady & young man appeared & asked if we had reservations the answer was yes & we were seated. First impression was oh boy… then we were asked if we were Super Bowl fans & then it dawned on us that it was quiet because of that. We got menus & selected some drinks they arrived bang on super tasty the menu was simple & everything looked fantastic we ordered appetizers & again were blown away. The music was playing in the background nice boss nova versions of classic songs had me toe tapping in no time! Then we ordered food. I had the steak & the table had the chicken & gnocchi again totally floored with how good the food was & how impeccable the service was. The duo that was working made sure the table was well taken care of from water to follow up visits to general pleasant conversation. I can't wait to go there again & get a real feel for the vibe of the place when it's packed!! Lia thank you for your excellent service, professionalism & honesty!!

Nice restaurant vibe. The cocktails were nice, good service. The octopus & scallops carpaccio were the stars, very nicely presented & the flavor was outstanding. Moules were well prepared & very seasoned, steak with the amount of butter was delicious. Good amount per serving
It was an excellent evening, went for an'end of year dinner' with my office staff. The vibes & ambiance were excellent, easy to have conversations. Staff were friendly & accommodating, provided suggestions as well. All, the appetizers made to perfection shared amongst 4 people. & as a main the'Paella' gives you some of everything & easy to share amongst 2. Had to end the night with their dessert of the night.
I went for a business lunch meeting & it was the perfect vibe!
Food & service was really spot on. I ended up calling my girls to end the night with drinks & more tapas!
Also, shoutout the co owner Desmond who took care of us✨

Super belle ambiance, belle vibe, fraîcheur des aliments au rendez-vous & personnel extra sympathique & attentionné. À noter que stationnement n'est pas un enjeu & que c'est facilement accessible. En passant, ils ont les meilleures frites maison!

Great vibe, with a beautiful, cozy ambience. Lea, our server, doted on us, warmly chatting with us & educating about the drink ingredients & desserts, etc.
The chicken on the salad I chose was outstanding (an incredible char/smoke flavour); the dressing was superb; the portion very generous.
The drink, a purple haze, was so yummy, as was my companion's drink, a variation of an espresso martini.
Can't wait to return again for a full meal.
Beautiful restaurant & even better food! My husband & I loved the vibe & service at the restaurant! The waitress Leah took great care of us & made our dinner even more enjoyable! We didn't leave a thing on our plates! We definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic Portuguese food!
This restaurant has amazing vibes accompanied by amazing cocktails. If you ever get to experience this calm & warm atmosphere, make sure you ask for Lia, you won't regret it! Her service is not only outstanding, but her ways of catering are dealt with such care. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Had an amazing dinner with my wife at Amalia in Westmount! The atmosphere was warm & cozy, perfect for a night out. Tried the piri-piri chicken, & it was absolutely worth it! Tender, flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. The whole place has a great vibe, & the staff was super friendly. Definitely a spot I'd go back to!
It has been so long since I went to a restaurant that I LOVE all of the dishes I order. This restaurant did that for me. The food was beyond amazing, I love the vibe, very low-key, very private. I ate at this restaurant yesterday & had a dream about it when I went to sleep. That's how good it is! The price is reasonable, highly recommended!
