We ordered the grilled meat assortment for 2 at 155$. After waiting for over an hour for our dish, the octopus was inedible/rubbery due to being over cooked. The piri-piri chicken was also dry & served cold. The steak was well cooked, but hadn't rested, such that the blood was dripping of the table & onto the floor. A waiter had to come clean it up. The sauce was like water. When we mentioned this to our waiter, they said they'd bring it up with the manager who didn't come see us & rather offered us a glass of port. We refused & left. We were so disappointed with our experience because this restaurant looked promising & the menu appealing. The poorly executed grilled meat assortment & the lack of service are the reason we cannot recommend this place.
I have to say my wife & i loved our experience at Amalia. The food was amazing from begging to end. We started off with the oysters & a beef tartare which were amazing & we had the shared meat plater as our main & the portions & quality of meat were top notch! We also loved the cozy ambiance & excellent serveice. We will definetly be going back & i highly recommend Amalia if your looking for a nice night out with amazing food!

J'ai adoré ma première expérience au Amalia! Super bien reçu par le staff, les plats étaient tous délicieux, superbe ambiance. Je recommande les gnocchis & le crudo de pétoncles!!
We went to Amalia on Valentine's Day & had an amazing experience! The food & drinks were incredible, but the service truly made it outstanding. Tony & Xavier went above & beyond & made us feel so welcomed.

Great place for a luncheon with your team. The food was delicious. The service was attentive. The restaurant itself has a nice cozy feel with booths & we had a lovely time. Highly recommend!

Food & service overall very good! Minor things like calamari being too salty, lighting too dim, a bit drafty, & lack of cutlery provided when having to share the plates at the full-course dinner group reservation However, recommend to try out for sure.

We celebrated my hubby's birthday, ambiance very authentic & cozy. Staff very friendly, we shared the octopus for appetizer which was perfectly grilled. Main meals were delicious & the peach cobbler to die for. We recommend this Portuguese restaurant!
J'ai vraiment apprécié le restaurant particulièrement notre serveuse Léa Jade elle a répondue à toutes nos questions & a tout fait pour qu'on puisse passer une belle soirée entres amis donc, franchement au niveau du service rien à dire c'était parfait & la cuisine délicieuse surtout les calamars. I had the pleasure of visiting Amalia for lunch with my boss, & everything about the experience was excellent. We were lucky to have Lea as our server, & she was truly fantastic-attentive to our needs, warm, & thoughtful with her recommendations.
Based on her suggestions, we ordered the chicken salad & the shrimp & chorizo bowl, both of which were delicious & beautifully presented. For dessert, we tried the nata with ice cream, & it was the perfect sweet ending. I also requested the piri piri sauce on the side, & it was absolutely spot on.
From start to finish, the service, food, & presentation exceeded expectations. I would recommend Amalia with eyes closed-a wonderful dining experience I'll definitely repeat!
