I recently visited your specific location not long ago with my partner, who can only enjoy coffee if it is decaffeinated.
We ordered & made sure to ask that his coffee be decaf.
The waitress proceeded to go behind the counter, enter our orders & eventually prepared to bring us our coffee.
My coffee was visibly fresh & piping hot. My partners was cold & tasted like it had been sitting for too long & was also the little bit left from bottom of the pot. Yes, I tasted it after my partner took his initial sip & asked me if it was just him, or if it was actually that bad.
The issue I have here is a human based one.
Because the fact is, we flagged down the waitress to ask that he get a new one, & I also asked her if it was the end of the pot that had been sitting there. & she said that it was in fact the bottom of the pot coffee that had been sitting for who knows how long. She said'bin c'est comme ça!' expecting him to drink it
Human to human, why would she choose to serve someone this item, knowing it is no longer good & should have been discarded of?
Not to mention, a person who happens to be working in a tip for good service type environment?
I don't know this waitress personally, but I'd like to believe that if she presented herself somewhere as a paying customer, that she would appreciate receiving the ordered option hot & fresh.
I have a hard time believing that if she was blatantly told that, yeah, its stale & the employee chose to serve it anyways, that she'd just be okay with that, would pay for it & may choose to consume it or just leave it on the table. Cause things aren't expensive enough these days, & you should just watch the item you're paying for, but not actually enjoy it since you won't be drinking cold stale pot bottom leftover.
Don't get me wrong, we all know there are less decaf drinkers. Yet that isn't the subject & should not be an excuse to chose to serve other humans stale cold coffee, cause it's just a form of general disrespect. It's actually gross. It also tarnishes the reputation of the business who chose to employ you, hoping you were the right fit to help the business thrive.
The reason I'm choosing to post this review today, is because my partner happened to find himself at McDonald's today around 1pm, & when he ordered his decaf coffee, he got served a cold stale bottom of pot.
& when he asked for a new hot one, the employee chose to lie to his face & tell him that he can't & won't make another pot of decaf, because they only do that in the morning.
I don't know about you, but I don't think any McDonald's on the entire globe has any end time for when they make fresh coffee, decaf or not.
There are selected breakfast items that end at 11am, sure! But decaf coffee isn't one.
& so he called me to have a laugh, & it actually annoyed me for him & brought us back to our experience here at this Allo Mon Coco breakfast date we recently had.
People have bad or off days, sure. Nothing is perfect, we know.
But if you're just not up to doing the job you accepted to do, don't take it upon yourself to show up & ruin other people's day, especially when they are literally paying for it.
You know it's been sitting there forever, & you know you wouldn't accept being served that crap, so choose to do better & not put someone else through it. Just make a new damn pot.
Heck the table who came in after us also wanted decaf, & had we not asked her to make a new pot, what was she going to tell that table?
& yes. It is that deep.
Because most want to sit around & act like things happen & nobody does anything about them, so just accept it, as though turning bad things into the comfortable norm is okay.
Yet life gave every single one of us the ability to make choices. At the end of the day, we can all choose to do better, behave better & even if not everyone can or wants to love one another, we can at least show decency & mutual respect towards one another.
Other than that, the new artisan sausage is insanely delicious!Your bathrooms need help
Good place to eat but staff was ignorant at sum point when the restaurant was not that busy, asked for a decaf coffee & I was told it was finished & I would have to wait a long time for it if I want. Coffee refill was asked once only on our demand we had to wait for a long time, food was great & fresh.
Highly recommended for a family outing. Service was quick & the food was fresh.
Great portions, we had all the scrumptious large plates from crepes, to pancakes, scrambled, great fresh fruit.... Overall a great option for breakfast or brunch.
We had breakfast today at our favourite neighborhood AMCoco, service was generally fine & atmosphere as we remembered it, as we hadn't been here in a while. 3 of us with two breakfasts that were good as usual... the other was a lunch special that we've ordered many times before but for the first time it came out different. Club sandwich special; The salad, soup, & coffee were fine. Usually the fries are perfectly cooked for frozen fries, & their club is really good, with fresh roasted Iike chicken... for the first time the fries were off, seemed like refried French fries - you know that taste & texture. & the main meal which we were looking forward to was off. Instead of the normally juicy bbqued like pieces of chicken it is now heavily coated with spices & had an orangish tint to it... maybe covering a cheap piece of meat? Or trying too hard to make something taste better when the classic taste was very good. We explained to our waitress, she was actually fine & reasonably pleasant, but only answered with an, "I'm sorry," apology & moved on. Regardless of getting anything or offering anything, a better conversation & explanation would have sufficed... we thought, perhaps it's the first (lunch) order syndrome -> leftovers being repurposed?! Wanted to have a nice relaxing meal & conversation, instead left a poor taste in our mouths, literally & figuratively, will not order this way again... if we ever come back 🙄😔🤔
We went at noon on a weekday & it was not too busy. Pleasant service & generous servings. The food was delicious, & the tasty coffee was flowing. Their fruit is very fresh. There are many options on the menu. Overall A+!
Welcoming environment with friendly staff. Generous portions & everything was fresh & very well prepared & presented.
We went to a different Allô mon Coco last weekend & that experience was completely different & for the type of restaurant they are, a 5 star brunch experience. This Allô mon Coco is much more of a cold & plain environment with people walking by in the mall being noisy & loud. The food was much different with no seasoning at all, not fresh & you can tell it was sitting around for a while in the kitchen. The Crispy Chunk breakfast potatoes weren't crispy, had NO SEASONING at all & were almost still raw & cold. Green onions on things they aren't supposed to be on or described in the item list & everything was tasteless. On top of that the staff were very standoffish & almost rude. Definitely wouldn't return or recommend this location.
they always have good food. went there for a friends' brunch & loved it. the inside is spacious & clean. their fruits always taste fresh & delicious! service was good but i felt like our server was rushing us to leave even though they were closing an hour later.
