We recently went back to Allo Mon Coco for breakfast & noticed quite a few changes. The space has been renovated with a more open?concept layout, which definitely makes it feel larger & brighter. The décor itself isn't particularly memorable, but the place does look cleaner & more spacious than before.
The food has changed slightly since our previous visits. It's still good overall, just not as impressive as it used to be, so our excitement wasn't quite the same this time around. Service was generally good, though a couple of employees didn't seem especially enthusiastic or happy to be serving customers.
All in all, it's still a decent spot & we'd consider going back, but it's no longer our automatic first choice for breakfast.
I had a very disappointing experience at ALO MON COCO today, & I feel I need to share it.
I ordered food as usual, & when I got to the fruit plate, I noticed there was a small insect on the fruit. I only saw it right before I was about to eat the fruit, which was honestly shocking & very upsetting. This is not something any customer should find on their plate.
What made the situation even worse was how long I had to wait just to speak to someone. The restaurant was very busy, & I understand that, but after noticing the insect, I waited around 15 minutes for the waitress responsible for my table to come. She did not come, so I spoke to a male staff member & explained that I needed help. He told me that he was not responsible for my table & that he would let the waitress know to come.
After waiting about another 5 minutes & still seeing nobody come, I had to speak to another waitress. I politely asked her for the bill & told her that I come to this restaurant often & that something like this should not happen. I also told her that since it was the first time, I was not going to make a big issue out of it, but I wanted to mention it because finding an insect on food is unacceptable.
She said okay & told me she would inform the waitress responsible for my table. Then I had to wait around another 10 minutes before the waitress finally came. When she arrived, she seemed in a rush & I explained to her that there was a problem & showed her the insect on the fruit. Instead of immediately apologizing properly, she asked me whether the insect came with the plate or if it had flown in from outside. I honestly told her that, from what I saw, it came with the plate.
After that, she asked me what I wanted her to do. I told her I just wanted to pay the bill & leave. Then she offered to bring another fruit plate. She brought a new fruit plate, but by that point I was already upset & uncomfortable, so I took it & left feeling very disappointed.
I am especially upset because I come to this location often, & this is the first time I have experienced something like this. I did not make a scene, I stayed calm, & I tried to handle it respectfully, but the whole situation was frustrating. Finding an insect on food is already bad enough, but having to wait so long, repeat myself to multiple staff members, & then receive that kind of response made the experience much worse.
I hope the management takes food hygiene & customer service more seriously, because this was not handled the way it should have been.
Great service. Fantastic presentation & cleanliness on establishment. We go often & the food is always 👌 💯.
It's been a long time I haven't visited this location. The decor is nice after the renovation. The menu is better than before. I tried the Copenhagen Benedicts. It's simple & fulfilling.
The waitress was so rude & mad at me for not speaking fast & with good french, really disappointed of the service

I was really looking forward to my burger & poutine we ordered via Uber eats. They never gave me my meal. My girlfriend ordered an omelet & they never even bothered to butter the bread that came with it. A complete disappointed so don't waste your time & money.
Feb 18th 230 pm & they can't make me an order of potatoes to go...no excuse, bad service means I'm going out of my way to visit their competitors when we do family brunch until maybe one day returning to an Allo Mon Coco location.
The boy host looked like he had no management. Just a kid in jeans staring at his phone.
Habitué des lieux, j'adore le nouveau cadre. Mais quelle surprise de voir les portions réduire à ce point ! Le prix reste inchangé mais l'assiette a rétréci. J'espère que vous reverrez ce point car on aimait venir pour la générosité de vos plats
I am writing to share a concern regarding a recurring issue with one of your menu items.
My family & I are regular customers at the Laval locations,which we truly enjoy. In June 2025, we visited the Côte-Vertu location, as it was closer to where our family lives. I understand that these two locations are not owned by the same franchisee, but they operate under the same Allô Mon Coco brand & menu.
I usually order the Omelettes Gourmandes - Légumes grillés, which is my favorite dish. What makes this omelette special for me is the poivrons rôtis, clearly listed as the first ingredient on the menu.
During our visit in June 2025, I received the omelette with tomatoes instead of roasted peppers. The server explained that they did not have poivrons rôtis & substituted tomatoes. Since the taste is completely different, I returned the dish without making an issue of it.
However, on Sunday, December 18, I returned to the same location & specifically asked the waitress if they had poivrons rôtis for the omelette. She informed me that they only use tomatoes & that they never use roasted peppers, despite what is stated on the menu.
This is disappointing & misleading. If roasted peppers are not used at this location, the menu should clearly reflect that. Substituting a key ingredient without notice does not align with the standards & consistency expected from the Allô Mon Coco brand.
I wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be reviewed & corrected.

I was at the restaurant a few days ago. It had been a long time since I last went, & I remembered a delicious breakfast. To my surprise, the food was very bad. It's not the same as before the bacon was black & extremely burnt, & the mashed potatoes were horrible. On top of that, everything was served cold, & the waiter provided poor service. The quality is not the same anymore. My last experience was very bad.
Bad experience!
First of all, the 4 people at our table did not feel welcomed at all.
Our server was not friendly & he was pretty sarcastic.
Le serveur n'a pas apporté les bonnes choses à notre table donc il a fallu attendre plus longtemps pour nos assiettes.
Amazing breakfast/brunch place. They have great food options paired with amazing serivce. We recommend this place to other friends & they found it amazing as well. We would definitely be visiting again.
the mash patatoe were ice cold , eggs burned. service was so so. took a while for server to come
to us even though restaurant was not very busy. server was a bit rude as well
