The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, with attentive and friendly staff and a view of the kitchen counter that many guests enjoy, plus a strong drinks program. While service is usually warm and professional, a few visits note moments of being a touch inattentive during peak times and some prices feel high for the portions. Overall the restaurant reads as a neighborhood gem, with oysters, dumplings, crudo and other standout plates that balance bold flavors with refinement, and many guests look forward to returning to try the rotating menu.
One of our favorite stops in Montreal. In four visits, haven't had a single menu item we didn't enjoy. The small kitchen bar (4 seats) are great seats. Service is excellent. Convenient to Atwater Market, Little Burgundy, & Lionel-Groulx Metro Station

I have to say this first, we were not the right crowd. The food in term of quality & execution was very good but it was'bland'/lacked insane amount of spices that comes with Asian food. I applaud the creativity for the fusion made in those dishes, but it just didn't suit my palate. Except the lamb, that was our favorite!
The prices aren't as high as I'd have expected for a more tapas style restaurant & the portions were generous.
Overall, I think 9 Tail Fox's food is good but for non Asian people or people wanted to try Asian food for the first time.
The menu at this place is my local favourite. Fresh & lively Korean flavours presented with French savoir-faire & heartiness. The kitchen service is relatively quick. The vibe is super cool, yet elegant. It's fun to be able to see the chefs working behind the bar. The wait staff are warm & very knowledgeable about the menu & wine pairings. My only quibble would be that when it gets busy, the staff are just a touch unattentive. Every visit has been wonderful & I look forward to returning soon.
La nourriture était délicieuse & généreuse! Ce qui a rendu mon expérience encore plus mémorable, c'est l'excellent service donné par Justin, Emma & Lee (Désolée si j'ai mal épelé les noms). Vous êtes une belle équipe accueillante & l'ambiance était au top aussi! J'ai passé une superbe soirée :)

A beautiful restaurant serving delicious food amongst fairy lights & hanging plants. I loved my experience here from the diverse sharing plates I tasted to the friendly service.

Amazing food, people & atmosphere. Everything we tried was incredible & the oysters are still living rent free in my dreams. As always, staff was so incredibly warm & helpful. A true gem of the neighbourhood
Absolute perfection. The best food i've ever had in this city! A little expensive but it's definitely worth coming here at least once. Workers were kind & funny too
I wasn't sure what to expect as this corner location has been sort of cursed with turnover over the years, but I can happily say that I hope nine tail fox sticks around.
The ambiance is really great. So great that when I sat down, I was worried that the portions wouldn't match- you know what I mean? That all the dishes would be tiny & nibbley. Not true! The value was definitely there.
Fresh ingredients. Creative dishes & presentation. The chef came over & said hi. The wait staff was very attentive & friendly. Great spot for a date or with the small group of friends & I recommend sharing all of your dishes.
Came here for NYE which was a set menu. HUGE portions for a multi course menu, amazing food. Special shoutout to these oysters!!! I will be coming back just for the oysters. The staff were amazing & super attentive. The drinks were also unbelievable. The sesame espresso martini was so good.
Sortie avec des amis : accueil & service super sympathiques de la part de Justin. Il nous a fait des recommandations bien équilibrées & adaptées pour partager. Dumpling, paella, & Crudo vraiment très bon. Next time on attaque la pieuvre mais on y retourne c'est certain
