Tail Fox delivers exciting Asian fusion flavors with a chef driven menu that blends Korean techniques with French and Italian influences, presenting creative dishes in generous portions. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, with attentive and friendly staff and a view of the kitchen counter that many guests enjoy, plus a strong drinks program. While service is usually warm and professional, a few visits note moments of being a touch inattentive during peak times and some prices feel high for the portions. Overall the restaurant reads as a neighborhood gem, with oysters, dumplings, crudo and other standout plates that balance bold flavors with refinement, and many guests look forward to returning to try the rotating menu.
My entire experience from start to finish with 9tail fox was incredible. The service was impeccable, everyone is so friendly & incredibly fun to talk to. The food was outstanding - the kimchi caesar (top 3 i've ever had), the dumplings & fried oytser mushrooms had the most incredible flavours. As a vegetarian, they have a ton of options! I will definitely be going back, as soon as possible !
Blown away by the delicious & innovative take on Korean cuisine- everything was good, & the fried jumbo oysters were insane. Service & ambience was top. Perfect for group events, we were so well taken care of. Will definitely be coming back!

Fresh clean bright flavors. The oysters (raw or fried) are amazing. The crudo is so perfect. The team cares about what they do & it shows. One of the best places I've ever eaten in MTL.
We were charged a dish extra & a glass of wine we hadnt ordered. They gave us a bit of soju to make up for it but they were clearly understaffed with 2 waiters & the 2 chefs for the whole packed restaurant on a Saturday night. Waiters were good & did their best tho. The chefs are really good & some of the dishes are exquisite (gnocchis, fried oyster), others are more just deep fried with no presentation like the pleurotes. Overall bill was 140$ for a bottle of wine & 4 dishes which is more pricey than other similar restaurants. Not bad but bit great either. Appreciated it but will not return.
My favourite asian fusion restaurant. I love how they change the menu seasonally while keeping the classics. The duck confit risotto is to die for, the raw oysters & the fried ones are fantastic well. Only downside is maybe the dessert, would love to see a change in the dessert menu. Keep up the good work! We love bringing our friends & family here
My friend & I loved every morsel, from the baked oyster to the sticky bun to the fried chicken. Really yummy! What a pleasant surprise. Definitely will recommend to friends :)

We came here for dinner & ordered four dishes (one appetizer for $12, one dish for $17, one for $21, & the last for $28) along with a beer. We enjoyed the fried oyster mushroom, & the crudo was nice too. However, the octopus, despite being the most expensive dish, could have been better-it was missing some flavor. As soon as we sat down, our waitress strongly suggested that we order at least 6-8 dishes for three people (including one young child) since the dishes are meant to be shared. As I mentioned, we didn't order all the dishes within the $12-$14 range, but the waitress gave us a look with our order. I don't think it's good service to make customers feel uncomfortable like that. We don't need this treatment & will not come back.
Very creative Korean-ish food. Dumplings with soy sauce & truffle oil, kimchi pancake with a baby shrimp salad on top, pleurotte mushrooms crispy fried. I didn't try any if the meat dishes but the tonkasse, duck & fried chicken all disappeared. Staff was incredibly friendly. The music was good (but a little too loud). On a great restaurant street, this was a great find.
Had a chance to sit in terrace on the perfect weather! The food is always amazing. I love how they twist authentic Korean dishes with various interesting flavours! The dumplings, donkatsu & kimchi fried rice are my all time favourites. The service was very nice & welcoming. I really loved the whole atmosphere. I'll visit again soon :)
Wait staff could not have been less accommodating. We had a family dinner with a 5-year old. We asked for plain rice & a fried egg for him, & they refused to make anything off the menu even though they had all the ingredients. They were just purely rude.

Omg. A real gem. Tiny but the atmosphere very nice. Great service, the waitress was very kind & also knew what wine goes with what. The food, korean fushion I would say. Loved it very much. My friend & I had their signature dumplings oyster mushroom tempura kimchi fried rice yuringi (fried chicken asian chimichurri) duck confit beef tartare (tastes like korean bulgogi) Definitely have to go back & try other dishes!
Good was amazing & they went above & beyond to accommodate a food allergy. the special of the day (bone marrow & mushrooms soup) was to die for! The oysters are always delicious as is the fried chicken & fried rice)

Food was delicious, but in very small quantity. You will need to order at least 4-6 plates for 2 people. Cocktails (Suwon Mule), dumplings, & Kalguksu were especially good. (We did not order kimchi fried rice just because we make them at home, but the dish smelled amazing at the restaurant.) Carpaccio was so-so. Cuisine-wise, it is more western than Korean.
Nouveau coup de cœur. The moment we walked in I was greeted by my name. Natural wine list, a few open bottles to choose from. Oysters, dumplings, beef tartare were outstanding. Kimchi fried rice & fried chicken were also very satisfying. Food, atmosphere & service has me returning most definitely.
We had 5 dishes & every one of them were amazing! The Crudo dish of sashimi, the Corn dish that was flamed/ charbroiled, the delicious Shrimp toast fried on 4 sides...yumm, & then the incredible porcini Dumplings...wow!! OMG, Must go back!!!
