The neighborhood is charming, making it a promising stop for coffee enthusiasts. However, my visit was tainted by a dismissive attitude from the first employeei met, which overshadowed the experience. Specialty coffee is about more than just the brew; it's about the journey & engagement. While the barista who served my flat whites was pleasant, the overall staff interaction needs a serious review. I hope to see improvements to match, I was supposed to buy breakfast, collection of coffee beans for me to experiment at home, souvenirs & 2 Flat Whites, I ended up just buying the flat whites & left quickly, it wasn't worth the 30 minutes drive back & forth to experiment a new place with such experience. P.S. the photo is at Château MorittView more
I live about 20min away, & often come by for a coffee & a snack. The team is warm & friendly, but also respectful of those maybe not as social.
The pastries are amazing, & the market, although on the pricier end of things, is wonderful. Local & hand crafted items add to so much charm. I can't recommend this place enough.View more
Very good coffee & the pastries are fantastic, I had a pistachio chocolate croissant that was perfect & unique. The market is also fun & lots of interesting things to eat & maybe gifts for people.View more
Cute place but that's all. Coffee is bitter & beans taste burnt. $5.75 for the most mid pastry you'll ever have. Not flaky as laminated pastries should be & had haphazardly placed pecans & chocolate throughout. I wish I enjoyed it but it was sadly an overpriced miss.View more
Great coffee, great gourmet shop. However, 3rd time that I bought stale pastries & bread here (prob a day old but at full price). Bread comes from Montreal - why when we have a host of great local bakeries?! Not going back for baked goods. Otherwise a lovely shop.View more
I wish 83 Nord was my local coffee shop in Kitchener. I had such a great experience at 83 Nord with my wife. Everything started with André's very welcoming smile & help to us to figure out what we should get from the bakery options available. André kindly helped us with our dietery restrictions as well & introduced us to Queen Elizabeth Cake which was absolutely magical with the perfect flavour of butter mixed up with coconut at top adding an amazing taste to our stay at 83 Nord. The lattes we ordered were absolutely the best we had in a very long time. Amazing service! Amazing coffee! Amazing atmosphere!View more

Finally a descent shot of coffee. Smooth flavor, nice crema so overall very good. The wife said the muffin was one of the best she has ever had. I thought it was very good. Very cool shop as it has lots of locally produced food. It is just off the bike path Pet't Train as well.View more
