I do not understand why so many positive reviews for this restaurant. First of all, the atmosphere. Minimalistic, half of the menu is on a single chalkboard, some items proposed by our server were either absent from the chalkboard or market priced. The place is noisy, the owners should invest in acoustic tiles. Second, the food, we ordered 5 different items form the menu (Steak frites, Scallops, Duck Confit, Pasta Dish and Ribs, with three sides and 4 cocktails (no appetizers). The waiter was pushing for more items. The food was served before the drinks arrived at our table, which is something I've never seen before in any restaurant. The food was lukewarm, there was no WOW factor as far as taste. The duck confit was dry, and gave me heartburn later (I wonder how long it stayed under the lamp). Third, the prices and quantity of food. The broccolini side had only 7 small spears, and was priced at $19, the fries were $11 for a single serving (one potato). The average price for each dish (no side) is $45; portions were not overly big. Cocktails are $18 for a ounce of liquor. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday, they did not even comp the tiny portion of cake she ordered. Overall, I felt that we overpaid for very ordinary food. For half of what we paid, we could have had a far better meal at Lucille's, the Keg or Bâton Rouge.

Great food, fast service, and a really welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and made sure everything was perfect. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and well presented. Definitely one of my favorite spots - I'll be coming back for sure!

Très belle découverte chez Brasserie des Rapides ☀? La terrasse est super agréable, parfaite pour profiter du beau temps et passer un bon moment entre amis. Les portions sont généreuses, les plats savoureux et le service chaleureux. L'ambiance est conviviale et détendue - une adresse qu'on a envie de revisiter !

Très bon sandwich 🔥 La cuisson au charbon fait vraiment la différence, goût super agréable et bien équilibré. Le pain est frais, la viande savoureuse et bien grillée. Service rapide et ambiance sympa 👍 Je recommande !

ol' reliable café santropol! i love to come here for a quick meal in the summer and sit in the beautiful courtyard or get takeout to sit in parc jeanne-mance. the duluth sandwich, vegan mac & cheese, and chai milkshake (milkshake only available in the summer) are all consistently delicious options on the menu! avoid the iced chai, it was kind of watery. the service can sometimes be a little disorganized, but the staff is always friendly. overall, i am a very frequent and happy camper at santropol ^_^

J'ai eu une expérience très décevante avec ce restaurant. J'ai commandé des plats avec de la viande à trois reprises, mais à chaque fois j'ai reçu du poulet à la place de ce que j'avais demandé. Lorsque j'ai contacté le restaurant pour signaler le problème, la personne au téléphone m'a parlé de manière très irrespectueuse et a même raccroché. En plus de cela, la nourriture n'était pas propre et était mal préparée et mal présentée. Ils manquent de professionnalisme dans leur travail. Dans l'ensemble, la qualité du service et des plats est loin des attentes de base. À trois reprises, je n'ai pas pu dîner et j'ai dû jeter la nourriture à la poubelle.

La première fois que je suis allée au Céramic Café, j'ai eu une belle expérience. Par contre, la deuxième fois, moyen. Il y avait une tache que je voulais faire partir et une employée m'a conseillé de sabler légèrement cette zone avec un papier sablé, mais résultat: le vernis ne tient pas sur cette cette zone. Ils ont essayé de vernir à nouveau, mais cela demeure sans verni. Au prix que l'on paie, j'ai trouvé ce conseil et résultat dommage... P. S. : n'utilisez pas de papier sablé et dessinez par dessus le défaut ou la tache.

New fave for sure! Great atmosphere and cozy vibes, delicious food, good drinks, and a lovely staff. It can get pretty busy in here but for very good reason! if you're coming with a group I'd recommend calling ahead or be willing to wait if you come around dinner time. The food is very affordable and i definitely recommend the butter chicken and Mac n cheese + pulled pork! The pulled pork sandwiches were quite small though in comparison to our other food. I'm still thinking about this meal and will be coming back soon :)

Amazing meal from start to finish! We ordered the butcher's box and shared it between three people, and one of us still had plenty of leftovers to bring home. The portions were incredibly generous. I don't go out to eat very often anymore because I'm often disappointed by the food, but this meal exceeded all expectations. Everything was delicious, satisfying, and well worth it. I'll definitely be back!

Vibe is ok. Service is good and simple. Chineese food taste fine, not the best but for the price and all you can eat buffet, it's great. Good variety and choice. Shrimps are good but salty.

I'm a regular customer here and the steaks never disappoint. The rib cap is absolutely perfect; I always order it medium rare. The drinks honestly aren't great, so we usually just stick to water 😂 but the steak alone keeps us coming back. I just wish the steaks came with sides as well!

Villa du Souvlaki Avoid This Place: A Masterclass in Culinary Disappointment I've had my fair share of takeout, but my first and absolute last time ordering from Villa du Souvlaki was a genuine disaster. I placed a pickup order for a Hero and a Double Chicken Souvlaki platter, and honestly, I would have been better off eating the receipt. The'Hero' (If You Can Call It That) The Hero was a joke. It was undersized, lacked any real flavor, and was bone-dry. There was barely any sauce to speak of-just a sad, bland sandwich that didn't live up to its name in the slightest. The Double Chicken Souvlaki Platter: A Tragedy The portion size was the only thing that wasn't a total failure, but quantity doesn't matter when the quality is this offensive. The Chicken: I've chewed on more flavorful napkins. These two sticks were incredibly dry and completely tasteless. I'm not exaggerating when I say cardboard has more flavor than this meat. The French Fries: They clearly use the cheapest frozen fries they can find. Limp, uninspired, and tasted like freezer burn. The Salad: This was a collection of'old' ingredients. The tomatoes were mushy, there was a'whisper' of cucumber, a tiny bit of onion, and a dressing that tasted like absolutely nothing. The Garlic Bread: Stale, dry, and apparently the chef is afraid of butter. The Verdict: I literally couldn't eat it. After a few bites of trying to find a redeeming quality, I gave up and threw the entire meal in the garbage. What a massive waste of money and a total disappointment for a Montreal staple. If you're looking for a decent meal, keep driving. 0/5.

My daughter and I chose this little gem to start our afternoon exploring of Old Montreal. The view was amazing and we were thrilled to get a glimpse of the Biosphere from our table! The staff were wonderful and attentive. Food was really good. We shared a goat cheese quiche and Croque monsieur was very good. It was a great start to our afternoon!
