This is by far the best place in town for a real banh mi! The staff is friendly and the quality of the food is great! I moved out of town and still find myself driving the 1hr to come for these sandwiches!

I love smoked meat. After seeing numerous social media posts I decided to try them out. The smoked meat was on par with a sealed-in-a-pouch deli meat that you buy at the grocery store. Asked for medium fat, received a somewhat rubbery sandwich that was nothing to write home about. I recommend Snowdon Deli, Dunns or Lester's. This place has no right using the term smoked meat.

Don't waste your money at Balos, Vago is a much better atmosphere, great service tasty and a superior menu. Balos is now outdated the menu is stale and the service is just avergae

Before the pandemic, this place was very good. I really enjoyed going to the Jade Buffet. I still go there once in a while. Not all the dishes are good, but some of them are still OK.

Fresh food, reasonable pricing, and bring your own wine! They were able to seat us on Saturday night without prior notice or reservations. The ambience, although slightly dated, was intimate; perfect for family dinner or catching up with an old friend. The kitchen closed earlier than expected, I assume the chef had to leave urgently. Had it not been for our incredible waitress who treated us apologetically for circumstances entirely out of her control, this review would have had a VERY different tone. The restaurant owes Vivian (our waitress) a huge thanks. Her kind and gentle demeanor made all the difference. I would definitely give this place another try.

I recently visited The Keg downtown with my family to celebrate our birthdays. This time, the experience was a bit more mixed than my last visit, but it still ended on a very positive note. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, but when it first came out, it was unfortunately well done. I usually do not like mentioning when something is wrong, especially to the waiter, but since it is not a cheap restaurant, I felt it was fair to say something. To their credit, the staff handled it very kindly and replaced it for me without any issue. After that, everything was great. The rest of the evening was really enjoyable, and the service improved the experience a lot. Since we were celebrating birthdays, they brought out two cakes, which was such a nice touch. And I have to say, the moka ice cream cake was absolutely incredible. Honestly, it was so good that I would go back just for that alone. I seriously need to find out where they get that cake from because I want a whole one for myself. Overall, while the meal did not start off perfectly, the staff made the effort to fix it, and that made a big difference. The birthday celebration ended up being a great one, and that cake was unforgettable.

The Sorrel soup was… well as good as Sorrel soup can get I guess… was ok The duck confit was (probably) good, if it wasn't swimming in some kind of a red beans stew that completely overwhelmed the taste and texture of the duck :( The baba a rum was superb.

Went for lunch expecting more from such an established institution. I ordered the rognons, which were unfortunately disappointing. Out of all the pieces, 2 or 3 were poorly cleaned, giving the entire plate a strong, unpleasant taste. This wasn't my first time having kidneys - I simply wished they had been better prepared. The service was also mediocre. We had to flag down our server multiple times to get our bottle of wine, as they were storing it somewhere other than near our table. Would I give it another chance? Perhaps in a couple of years. For context, lunch for two - including one starter, two main dishes, and a $65 bottle of wine - came to $210.

Clearly the reputation speaks for itself. Excellent quality on the chicken brochettes (which are thick compared to other places), the calamari and obviously the marvens sauce. theres a reason why places like this stick around, the food and quality is top notch

Au vue de mon accent le serveur a cru que je ne vivais pas à Montréal et m'a expliqué que le pourboire de 20% est obligatoire au Québec !! Sur une note à 500$ !!!! Quand je lui ai dis que c'etait pas bien de mentir et que j'allais mettre 10% soit 50$, il s'est enervé et m'a dit que je le faisais travailler gratuitement. Très agressif quand il a pas eu ses 20%. Il faut revoir vos façons de faire j'ai jamais vu ça dans aucun restaurant. 10/15% c'est très bien, on donne comme on peut en fonction de la note mais il est interdit d'obliger 20%. Je suis venu beaucoup de fois en groupe et je ne reviendrai plus. Je le déconseille d'ailleurs, c'est un principe.

Une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin ! Le restaurant Vino Rosso mérite amplement ses 5 étoiles. Le service est attentionné, professionnel et chaleureux - on se sent véritablement accueilli.
