We were visiting from Toronto & stumbled upon Yum Yum - hands down the highlight of our trip! The soup dumplings were nothing short of perfection. Each one had a delicate, paper-thin wrapper that burst with rich, savory broth & tender, flavorful filling. You could taste the freshness & quality in every bite. We also ordered noddles with beef & we absolutely inhaled it. We are VERY big foodies & this is our top 5. They WILL have a line up out the door so make sure you get there early. Be prepared to eat here again.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The staff welcomed us like old friends, going above & beyond to make us feel comfortable. I haven't seen such warmth from a restaurant in so long. They were attentive, friendly, & genuinely passionate about their food. Their thoughtful recommendations made the meal even more memorable.

Visiting from Toronto let me just start by saying I would drive down just to eat here again. The owner was our server very polite & kind- one of the kindest humans we've ever met. We were made to feel as if it was a family memebers house. He even went out of his way to teach us how to properly eat a soup dumpling. Food was 12/10 highly recommended.Voir plus

I've probably tried about over 100 dumplings places across Canada & I have to say this one is now officially my favorite. Ordered via ubereats to my hotel & have to give credits for amazing packing. What flavour! The chicken coriander dumplings - the best! Usually soup dumplings miss either flavour or texture. The qty of soup inside the dumplings was perfect. The seasoning was bang on & cherry on the cake - they looked delish. I have Indian roots so find dumpling seasoning bland sometimes but these ones were just perfecto! Great going Yum Yum! We came across this soup dumpling restaurant & we were surprised how good it was. The restaurant has a nice seating layout for around 4 people max on a table. We tried the soup dumpling with shrimp, pork, chives & the noodles with beef. They were both super delicious & tasty! The soup dumpling skin was not too thick but enough to hold the soup & not break. The seasoning was perfect on the soup dumplings, no additional soy sauce or vinegar was needed. Highly recommend & would come back.Voir plus

What a find! Delicious food, great service, reasonable prices, definitely a must try! We love the seaweed salad to start along with the cucumber salad (pssst! we mix the sauce from the cucumber salad into our dipping bowls when we are done). My daughter & I went there last night after exploring Montreal on foot. Both of us love soup dumplings & we decided to go to Yum Yum after reading some of the positive reviews. It's a quaint family restaurant with just a few tables & a light, pleasant atmosphere. As we found out during out stay, the wife manages the open kitchen with support staff, forming fresh dumplings non stop, while the husband manages the guests in a very friendly manner & a level of efficiency & attentiveness I have seldom encountered in other restaurants in general. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was full & we decided to wait for what was to be around 30 minutes. During that time several more people arrived who were told that it would be about 1hr. Over the couple of hours we stayed there, we noticed all of them returning at some point. The menu is extensive, with the entire left page dedicated to soup dumplings. Wow. We ended up trying four different varieties - pork/shrimp/chives, pork/shrimp/mushrooms, chicken/coriander & pork/cabbage. In subtly different ways they were all absolutely delicious. The broth was mild but tasty & their homemade chili crunch oil is an excellent condiment to our taste. We observed other patrons being served a variety of other dishes that looked scrumptious but these comments apply solely to the soup dumplings. My daughter & I agreed that they were among the very best we've eaten anywhere & that our visit to Yum Yum was the first of many to follow.Voir plus
