Attempt #2 trying to go here worked as the first time on a Friday night was told 1.5 hour wait & you cant make reservations. Second time for a weekend lunch they had implemented a new system which was much better where there is a tablet where you enter your name, number of guests & phone number & you will be texted when to come back when a table is available. Our estimate was 15 min to 45 min but ended up being much closer to 10 minutes.
Yokato was great but hurt by high bar expectations in terms of the Michelin Guide reference. Service was very good, as was the ambiance & food just nothing that blows you away which for better or worse what you expect when you hear the name Michelin name.
After getting the text me & my friend were led to our tables. For lunch you fill in a little sheet with what sides you want, the broth, meats & any extras which I appreciated for the efficiency.
We ordered the Pork broth with Pork & the Chicken Broth with Chicken. Both were very good & savory, & didnt take too live to arrive after ordering. You also get a little caddy with add-ons for the soup which were spicy sesame seeds in oil, regular sesame seeds, pickled radish & pink onions I think.
Overall the service, system & food were all very good, just not mindblowing or novel which is what I kindof expected with any association for the Michelin Guide
Ambiance traditionnelle japonaise.
1h30 wait. We ate at the thin counter, had to eat in an awkward position. Food is great though. There's zero service, only serving.
I used to go a few years back, had some memorable experiences. This time however was not. The tables are very small, we were only 2 & had no space for 2 ramen & a side dish. the flavour was quite bland. It used to be my favorite ramen shop, but after coming back for the first time in 3 years, the quality of the food & experience dropped alot. the priced went UP as we spent close to 80$ for ramen & side. 25$ for an okay ramen & 15$+ for a side. the aesthetic of the store is there, But very crowded, small, expensive. It does look good at least.
It was great the food was good I will have to go back & try more of their ramen
Food is out of this world good! & service is impeccable!
Shoutout to Adam for making the place feel lively!
I don't understand how this place was apparently given a Micheline rating. Did something happen? The food wasn't terrible, but badly prepared. The place is cramped & very loud. You hardly have room to sit comfortably & if you're stuck waiting in line to get in? Honestly? Go somewhere else that either makes food of the same caliber but lower price with quieter atmosphere. Or go somewhere better with the price they charge here. As harsh as this sounds, it's what it is.
I think the staff is overwhelmed with the amount of people they try to serve. It's the double edged sword of being a popular spot to try their menu.
Not great, not terrible. A disappointment, but at least that's memorable.
While it is very busy & the wait is long if you go during their busy time, they have a system & it works & they're nice & the food is excellent. You don't feel rushed or anything. Loved the food!
Fantastic food. Small place - each time ive been here I was seated directly facing a wall :/
Main gripe is that you have to wait outside in the cold without much communication from stuff - & they seem kind of annoyed that nobody understands their confusing system
On a eu the best seats in the house, au bar, proche de l'action !:)
Whoa. I was not expecting this quality on Ramen, great service, delicious!!!!
My experience was somewhat unfortunate since they forgot a dish & after at least 15 minutes of waiting a waitress came to tell me that my dish was about to come out to which I only ordered a dessert & a tea since they do not have coffee, she was very kind to offer these last orders as a courtesy, as someone who is within the industry I would advise them that if it required more staff they should invest in it because forgetting orders is not a good thing for anyone, just as being a Michelin restaurant I expected better service & with the issue of Dishes As a lover of oriental food, I can say that the ramen is nothing spectacular, it is good, although I think that due to overproduction the quality of the flavor has been lost & the sausages were good but nothing out of this world & the dessert was quite flat, like something that lacks love. I hope to visit you on the next occasion & that the great success you enjoy today is not the cross on your grave.
