Ordered delivery from them & was honestly impressed. I got the Hotate Chirashi - basically a big, beautiful scallop carpaccio bowl over rice, topped with a mountain of ikura. The portions were super generous & the scallops were fresh & sweet.
I also tried the Smokey Hamachi Uramaki - a maki roll topped with torched hamachi. Hamachi is one of my absolute faves, so I can always tell when it's done right 😉 & this one definitely was. Really tasty & nicely balanced.
Overall, I really enjoyed everything I ordered. I'd definitely order from this place again.
I will drive out of my way to pick up a poke bowl from Yen. We order The Classic poke bowl with Salmon & Tuna . This has consistently been one of the best poke bowls we have had. We have tried poke bowls from many places but this is very tasty. We do take out. I will also order sushi from them as well. It is well made, tastes good & but the pieces occasionally fall apart. They are fast to prepare it & parking has never been a problem. Looking forward to my next time.
First time trying & I did not like the poke bowl. I ordered the salmon & tuna it had way too much sauce. I had to use my napkins to wipe off the sauce. The salmon pieces had skin on them they were chewy.
I really like the extensive amount of items in their menu, it makes it easy to pick a combo that suits you & your party & it also makes it easier to find something you like. I understand that it can also make it hard to pick something but I feel like for sushi, it's better to have more than not enough. The food itself was good. For around 13$, we got a combo that was 11 pieces & they were pretty big in size as well. The nigiri were around 8$ for 2 pieces which is acceptable but starting to be a bit expensive. I feel like even though the food was good, there were a couple of things that bothered me. Personally, I feel like the rice was too soft, the soya sauce felt a bit diluted, the soup was pretty small for 7$ a bowl & the ingredients were not as fresh as I had hoped. Furthermore, the bubble tea was big but I feel like the proportion of tapioca to drink ratio was a bit little & it was also a bit too light in sweetness for me. Finally, I wish they would not add the mayo sauce all over the sushi & put it on the side instead since it's not everyone that likes the addition of the sauce & it wasn't written anywhere that they would add the sauce on top of the sushi. Overall though, the food was enjoyable & reasonable in pricing.
I cannot speak about the atmosphere, since we ordered for take out. The poke bowls are excellent! Staff was SUPER nice!
Je viens de commander un poke bowl crevettes & crabes!! Delicieux ,super bon rapport qualité prix & la mademoiselle m'a dites 15 minutes & c'était prêt avant que j'arrive (13min) !! Je recommande fortement ! C'est sûre que la prochaine fois j'essaierai les sushis !
Their poke bowls are great & fresh. They prepare it relatively fast & it is mostly based on a takeout.
