Copier le code du widgetI got sick after ordering takeout. They put up fake reviews and nominations online to look credible. Never again ! They should clean up their act and inspect the food and cleanliness before getting a lawsuit
My friends and I went to the Wok Cafe on Sources for the first time yesterday. The first thing we were impressed by was the open kitchen and how clean and organized it looked. Next, we read of the biggest menus and chose our main dishes and entrees (general tao tofu, curry tofu and spicy tofu...lots of veggie options!). We were served our food in a very reasonable time and it was soooo good. Their portions aren't especially huge, but we did bring home leftovers, each of which is enough for a full meal. One small detail I really liked was how deliberate the actions were of our server when putting our food in take home containers: he made sure to keep the rice, veggies and protein separated. We will definitely go back!
Based on the good reviews, our group ate at WOK with positive expectations. What a disappointment! From the surly manager who seated us (and was very cranky when we asked for a different table than where he wanted us, despite the place being empty) to having to ask for cutlery, to the truly awful food: General Tao with lots of fried batter, and rarely any chicken inside, to the shrimp in lobster sauce that turned out to be a bland bunch of tiny shrimp floating in some tasteless brown sauce, to ginger beef that had no flavour at all except for some ginger slices in the brown sauce - everything was bland and lazily prepared. Our finished plates consisted of lots of rejected food and a pile of fried batter. The tea was good, the won ton soup was really good, and the secondary waiter who brought us one or two items was very nice with a smile. Will not go back.
I passed by the window on my way to 5 brothers next door and recognized Tom the waiter .. my favourite waiter from VIP .. so I went in.
He recognized me too and had the chef prepare me a ginger and shallot lobster just the way he used to order for me at VIP. I was impressed at the quality and portion size.
Their dim sum is delicious but a little expensive compared to Ruby Rouge downtown.
This is an awesome place to eat asian food . Yummy
Mes collègues de bureau et moi allons souvent à ce resto.
Bon et pas dispendieux, nous réussissons à manger en moins d'une heure.
Je recommande.
don't know why there is no selection above for recommending the restaurant simply for the food.
i was very impressed with the food.
very tasty and fresh.
