We walked in & there were no customers, but we decided to give the place a try anyway.
We ordered the pepper chicken, & it was loaded with sugar! When we asked if there was sugar in it, they told us the sauce itself is sugar-based, & that's why they sprinkle even more sugar on top.
We specifically asked for spicy food... not dessert. 😂
I ordered general tao chicken… it did NOT taste like chicken. I puked it all! It was brown & tasted more like duck, but didn't taste good at all. I barely ate half of the plate & my stomach started to hurt a lot.
Came in to get 3 large soups, 35$ later we got broth with barely any sustenance(protein veg anything)
Got a large chicken Tom yum without any pieces of chicken & a single shrimp in the entire thing nothing else in it but green onion.
Flavour good quantity & mix terrible.
Wok Cafe came through! Originally headed to Pho Binh but they were closed, so tried this spot. Wonton soup was delicious! Lemon chicken & sesame beef hit the spot. Of course they fill you up with a side of rice & veggies. Beats Maison Kam (West Island's other Chinese spot I've tried) hands down!
Quality in this place has decreased overtime. I've been a patron for years & can clearly have witnessed how portions are getting smaller & poorly served. The Tao chicken is nothing but a couple small pieces filled with rice & the Chow Mein comes with 2-3 tiny pieces of beef & the rest just noodles & veggies to fill in for it for the same price-I won't order again.
I had read a bit of the reviews & I was a bit reluctant to buy from them. I got hungry & called to make an order. I ordered the chicken chow mien & the general Tao chicken. This is the cleanest bowl of chow mien I ever got, the flavors shone through the ingredients alone & no over salting or much seasoning. The vegetables were at the perfect doneness, the noodles were crispy & the sauce was so light it made me so happy I had the pleasure of eating from there. The general Tao chicken was so flavorful & I admit I used a little bit of the sauce with the noodles of the chow mien & it wasn't a mistake. This is so far the cleaning food I had ever received & I will definitely go back again one day. My cravings were satisfied & I don't regret one bit getting food from them.
Very nice well-lighted restaurant & the food is very delicious ! We ordered Dim Sum - shrimp as well as shrimp & coriander & loved it! For the meal, we had chicken dumplings, bok choy, chicken fried rice, Singapore vegetarian vermicelli, & chicken thighs & they were all super tasty! It's a perfect restaurant for family sized meals as the portions are very generous. I look forward to trying more things on the menu :)
As always ordering first time I got like 80 worth to sample the menu & that's 80 I'll never see again..hot & sour soup is tasteless Grey broth not hot or sour ....the veg chowmein was soaked in a sauce chich was very wired had a very artificial taste...the lemon chicken & general Tao were average at best some pieces were not even meat tho just cartilage & batter...spring rolls were average taste like oil tho no flavor again..overall disappointing but atleast I know I'll never order there again
