Very large restaurant & accommodating for large groups. Very good menu items. Based on where it is situated, it attracts a very eclectic crowd. The only blemish I experienced is the fried calamari... too much fried breading, not enough calamari.
Très belle découverte à Montréal ! L'ambiance est chaleureuse & agréable, & l'architecture intérieure est vraiment magnifique, avec une décoration soignée & beaucoup de charme.
Les serveurs sont polis, professionnels & attentionnés. Côté cuisine, nous avons goûté l'Alfredo & le pesto : les deux étaient vraiment bons, savoureux & bien préparés.
Une belle adresse pour profiter d'un bon repas dans un cadre élégant & agréable. Une expérience très appréciée.
Je suis vraiment déçue par mon expérience dans ce restaurant. Je m'attendais à une cuisine italienne authentique, mais ce n'est malheureusement pas ce que j'y ai trouvé.
Les pâtes étaient trop cuites, & plusieurs plats proposés (comme la sauce Alfredo) ne correspondent pas vraiment à la tradition italienne. Le menu contenait même des fautes d'orthographe, y compris en français, ce qui n'inspire pas beaucoup confiance.
De mon côté, j'ai pris une pizza - & c'est sans doute l'une des moins bonnes que j'ai mangées. La pâte était très dure, avec une texture qui semblait industrielle ou surgelée. Il y avait très peu de sauce tomate, & celle-ci était fortement épicée, ce qui ne correspond pas vraiment aux saveurs italiennes classiques. La pizza était très chargée en fromage, donc assez grasse, avec simplement une tranche de tomate molle déposée au centre. Elle est arrivée tiède, voire froide, & après quelques minutes la pâte est devenue tellement élastique que c'était difficile à manger.
Mes amis ont commandé d'autres plats (arancini, boulettes de viande, etc.) & ont été tout aussi déçus par les saveurs & la qualité générale.
Le service n'a pas particulièrement relevé l'expérience. L'accueil était plutôt froid, peu souriant. Le pain servi était une baguette assez basique, simplement accompagnée d'huile d'olive présentée dans une assiette plate partagée par toute la table, ce qui n'est pas très pratique.
Enfin, les prix sont élevés pour une qualité qui ne suit pas. Lorsque nous avons mentionné à la serveuse que nous étions surpris par le côté peu italien des pizzas, elle nous a répondu que beaucoup de gens le pensent, mais que ce ne sont pas des pizzas italiennes, plutôt « comme au supermarché ». Cette réponse nous a laissés perplexes.
En résumé, une expérience décevante par rapport aux attentes & au prix. J'espérais découvrir une vraie cuisine italienne, mais je n'y ai pas trouvé l'authenticité ni la qualité annoncées.

We had a lovely lunch. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly & welcoming. The food was excellent. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, the half chicken special & the tiramisu. All were delicious. I strongly recommend a visit here
Love this restaurant!! Date night or family friendly, very big restaurant. Staff is very nice & present. The free bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar is so good & fresh! We had the polpette meat balls with the Manzo pasta & burrata pizza!!! Parking is hard to find so plan in advance or pay about 20$ for underground parking that's right beside! Overall great experience every time I go, highly recommend.
Everything was absolutely excellent! It's the perfect place to enjoy a casual, friendly, & even slightly fancy Italian night. The waiters provide outstanding customer service, & the quality of the food & drinks is truly top notch, from the wine all the way to the chocolate dusting on the tiramisu. Everything was beautifully done & absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
Weinstein & gavino's is in my top ten favorite restaurants in North America. Always a great meal & a great atmosphere. I love that they're open late. & it's a great place to eat if you're dining alone as the bar is very comfortable & the bartenders can be very welcoming.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The pasta & chicken parm were genuinely some of the most disappointing Italian food I've ever had. Everything was incredibly bland. It honestly tasted like they forgot seasoning existed. The pasta had no flavor, & the meat was just as underwhelming.
For the price, I expected at least a decent meal, but this was well below average. I genuinely found myself wondering how food this flavorless made it out of a restaurant kitchen. There are far better Italian restaurants where your money will actually get you a meal worth eating.
Save your money & appetites. I definitely would not come back.
