Brudder the best gnocchi ever !!! Gorgonzola e forte then you cut it with a little sip of wine, gnocchi, wine, gnocchi, wine , gnocchi, wine, Vivaldi !! 🤖 . Everything top only one thing big steve id like to say is the liver dish the brown sauce is too much bello maybe just leave the liver naked w some Spanish onions & butter but everything else was amazing will definitely be coming back with the boys !!!!
Place was absolutely packed on a Saturday evening. Had the table d'hôte with the chicken de la casa.
Complementary bread was nice, mini ciabattas.
Appetizer I chose was an eggplant parmesan, pretty good app. It cost an extra 5 bucks though, but a nice try.
Chicken was nice, in a creamy sauce with white wine, green onions & roasted red peppers. Nice, savoury yet not heavy. Veggie & potato side was nice, with potatoes nicely seasoned.
The chocolate cake, though, it absolutely felt like the right choice to get: nice & moist, with a rich chocolate flavour, & especially not overly sweet.
Finally, the tea was a nice finisher.
Quality of service was exceptional, with the wait staff being very attentive & courteous to customers.
If one is in the Montréal area & able to make the trip to the West Island, as well as willing to pay around 40-50 bucks a person, then I would suggest having a dinner at Vivaldi. The place has a good reputation on social media, & not for no reason.
The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The wine is up to you. Always a great evening.
Because we are watching Vivaldi chef Steve on YouTube for a while.
We reserved & dine at Vivaldi on Thursday.
Oh my God! It's not just a hype. Everything was perfect. The restaurant is nice & big. The staff are super & professional. Our server was''Jade'', she's a real Perle. It's an open kitchen, so you can see 6 chefs working hard, but seems loving cooking. Dave (Steven's brother) is the symphony conductor. Both of them are so nice & friendly. I had (I think, the best plate on earth) the grilled octopus for appetizer. The home made sausage is also very good. The chocolate Grand marinier cheesecake is Devine. It's a bring you own wine/beer restaurant. & the prices are less than any other restaurant. What's not to love about it. Thank you Steven & Dave for a wonderful experience. We'll be back real soon. Even with a 2 hour drive.
Great staff! Very nice place for a date night. Very solid bring your own wine Italian restaurant.
A west island staple for italian cuisine. Well priced, bring your own wine. Delicious Italian classics. The fried calamari was fresh. The octopus was well seasoned & tasty. The eggplant parm was good & the veal masalla didn't disappoint. Great portion sizes. The service was on point. Very satisfied with my first time experience. Great italian cuisine, I would highly recommend trying it out.
Had a group dinner, everyone enjoyed their meal & we all loved that it was bring your own wine!
After following Vivaldi & the content they share, I traveled from Toronto to Vivaldi just to try it out. I was NOT disappointed! - I recommend making a reservation, I was fortunate to get a table for two as a Tuesday walk-in! If you wish to drink, they are a BYOB restaurant. So bring along a bottle of your finest wine & enjoy some great cuisine along with it! Cheers to all the staff at Vivaldi!
