Ever since chef Steve's videos started popping up on my YouTube shorts, I told myself I'd eat at Vivaldi the next time I was in Montréal. The food looked amazing on screen, & I wanted to experience it in person.
One day the stars aligned when my friends & I did a Montréal day trip from Ottawa. The plan was, after a day of activities, to wrap up our trip by having dinner at Vivaldi before making the drive back. I need to make it known that this was one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was incredible.
Our waiter Max was attentive & on the ball with everything. His knowledge of the menu was high & his personality was friendly.
We even had chef Steve come to our table. He chatted with us for a bit about the restaurant & the YouTube channel. Super friendly guy & a great interaction! (To be fair, this was outside the dinner rush when he had a chance to step away from cooking for a couple of minutes).
I ordered the Linguine Amalfitana with a rosé sauce. & yes, it tasted as good as it looked.
I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in Montréal. Thank you for the lovely experience! It was one I won't forget.
This was my first time at this restaurant & I will definitely go back! I first saw Steve, the owner, on YouTube short videos making good & easy food & this is what made me want to check out Vivaldi. We also got a chance to meet Steve & he was very nice. Our waitress Jade was really nice. I loved my veal plate & my husband had a pizza & we were not disappointed! Delicious! The ambiance felt very homey. Thanks for a great evening!
As good as the Youtube Shorts make it look! Got the Table d'Hote which included a salad, one entree, & a dessert.
I found Steve's YouTube channel months ago & always wanted to go & try the food. It exceeded expectations! The restaurant was busy but the food came out fast & fresh & was reasonably priced for its quality.
The tortellini rosè with vegetables was phenomenal. It had amazing flavors with just the right amount of spice. The grilled octopus was also delish.
Steve came over & said hi to my girlfriend & I. He's super nice & down to earth.
I really can't recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Montreal!
I have watching this place on YouTube & when my wife had a business trip to Montreal I joined her my one request was to go to Vivaldi & it was best dinning experience of our trip from Washington DC. Do not miss dessert Tiramasue was great. Get reservations this place is hopping.
First heard about this place through YouTube & it did not disappoint. Thank you Steve for stopping by to say hello, & thank you for the delicious meal that we got to share with family!
Took a 2 hour detour to come visit after seeing Steves videos on YouTube. Food was exceptional. I had fettuccini Gigi which was the best I've ever had. Appetiser calamari was excellent & my kid said the chicken parm was unbelievable. Well worth the detour.
I went to Vivaldi last month for my birthday with my family, all the way from New Jersey. My expectations were high, & they were blown away. The food, service, everything was exceptional. Our waitress Jade was very friendly & attentive. The Gnocchi de la casa was spicy & smooth, Chicken de la casa was bursting with flavor, & the Chicken tetrazini was amazing.
The fried zucchini appetizer was crisp & delicious, & the sauce was great. The creme Brulee was the best I have ever had. The texture was fluffy & smooth, & the sweetness was just right.
Chef Steve even stopped by our table to say hi! If you like Vivaldi's YouTube videos & are curious, make the trip! You will have amazing food & exceptional service. This was a birthday I will never forget, & I hope to be back soon!
I found this restaurant on youtube, so me & my wife wanted to try it & we were not disapointed, thanks Steve!!
W youtube channel W cook never visited the place before 🇻🇳 W food too
As fans of Vivaldi's on Instagram & YouTube, my wife & I were really looking forward to finally visiting - & it definitely lived up to the hype. We came all the way from Quebec City & had a great evening.
The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter, David, was attentive & nice. We also had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the owner, which made the night feel even more personal & welcoming.
As for the food - we loved it. I had the pizza, which was piping hot, fresh, & full of flavour. My wife had pasta & was equally impressed. Everything came out quickly & was clearly made with care.
That said, there were just a couple of small things that stood out. The squid appetizer was very good but the onions were cut way too large. & the Caesar salad could've used a bit more dressing. It was still tasty, but felt a bit on the dry side.
Aside from those two minor things, the whole experience was really solid. Great ambiance, great food, big portions & genuine people behind it all. We'd definitely come back next time we're in town!
Started with the YouTube videos, came to experience the food first-hand. Big fan of the Penne Romanoff.
As we entered we were immediately greeted by some of the kindest staff I have ever encountered. Fluent English was a big help since my French is poor
Food was great, pizza was hot & fresh, generous amount of high quality toppings, flavourful sauce. Crispy but tender crust. Special shout-out to Steve on the home made sausage.
Caesar salad was so crisp & fresh, could taste the anchovies in the sauce, that or the most flavourful capers I have ever tasted lol. The small was more than enough to go with my pizza as I needed a to-go box to finish the pizza later on at home.
I had originally wanted to go there from seeing the YouTube videos. We actually changed the trip around last minute so we'd be able to make it for dinner without rushing the last day, you folks got busy very quickly once we were done our meal so I didn't get the chance to meet Steve. But, We will be back
Vivaldi!
We drove just under 3 hours from Vermont to experience Vivaldi. My son & I love watching the YouTube content. He says Steve is the best chef on YouTube. So, for his birthday, I took him. & it was very well worth it! The service, the atmosphere, the food, all 10 out of 10. We got to meet Steve, too! Thank you for that! I'm Dad of the year now lol. From the moment we walked in the door till the moment we walked out, the staff was great! Warm & welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, as we had questions. There's nothing like eating food that you can taste the freshness & simplicity. All the flavors were there. A very memorable meal & a very memorable experience. Thank you Steve & staff!
I was so looking forward to eating here after seeing the many YouTube shorts on how the delicious food was made. The food & service were great.
Great food! Learned about this place through Steve's youtube channel & the cooking is as good as it looks. The tunisian octopus was amazing!!
Hello my name is Autumn I am seven years old & I'm writing from my dad's account. My dad drove us all the way from NYC to try Vivaldi's after seeing his videos! I met the chef his name is Steve & he came to our table to talk. & he said it's nice to come out & talk to people. I do score it five out of five, I got the fish & chips. It was so good. Best meal I've ever had, best night I've ever had, the waiters were very nice & I highly recommend it so just go to YouTube & search up Vivaldi clips. You'll see Steve. He's the one that makes all the videos. Steve also gave us a cake, it was a chocolate cake & it was delicious.
