An odd location but everything else is top notch. Excellent Italian food for borderline unbelievable value.
A west island staple for italian cuisine. Well priced, bring your own wine. Delicious Italian classics. The fried calamari was fresh. The octopus was well seasoned & tasty. The eggplant parm was good & the veal masalla didn't disappoint. Great portion sizes. The service was on point. Very satisfied with my first time experience. Great italian cuisine, I would highly recommend trying it out.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you are looking for truly authentic Italian cuisine in the West Island, Vivaldi on Gouin is an absolute gem.
Having been a customer here for over a decade, I can confidently say the quality has remained remarkably consistent & top-tier over the years.
The freshness of the seafood is always the standout for me-whether it's the calamari or their signature pasta dishes, everything tastes incredibly fresh & expertly prepared.
It's rare to find a spot that perfectly balances a high-end culinary experience with such a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
From the service to the flavors, it is consistently excellent. If you appreciate traditional Italian recipes done right, this is easily one of the best spots in Montreal. Highly recommended❗?
Well prepared Italian fare:
8/10: spaghettini alio & olio (filling)
7/10: Calamars frits (tasty)
Heard the fettuccine Gigi was great but thin crust pizza just okay.
The food was decent but nothing special in a way. I have been to better Italian restaurants in Montreal.
One of the best Italian places in the West Island, amazing service, the food is amazing, the restaurant it self tho isn't facinating.
I love this place I actually haven't been in the restaurant in a few years but I order off Uber often & it's so good everytime never disappoints. The Italian sausage sub is absolutely perfect
Fantastic Italian restaurant.
Very busy which explains the noise levels.
First time at this restaurant. Everything was amazing, the service, the food , the music. The Gnocchi & the chicken marsala were delicious!! The owner David came to our table & we had a little chat. We will come back for sure, we were highly impressed..this restaurant is a jewel for Italian food in the west island. Our waiter Max was nice, polite, attentive & gave us an excellent service.
We went there my son & I last night for dinner around 8:30 & showed up 15 minutes late but there was no issue they gave us a table right away now the table we got was against the small separating wall in the corner so between the front window & their kitchen & we were against the small wall in the corner so like literally in the corner so as far as seating it wasn't that great but everything else was good.
We were served by Jesse & found him serviceable & polite. He remembered to bring everything we asked for & more. They are lucky to have him working there, oh & Jesse also bragged about their head chef on how he was a'real superstar' who is one of the reasons we went there to begin with.
My son saw cooking videos of the chef on TikTok & said'he really looks like a chef, the kind you'd see in a movie' & he claimed the cooking skills he filmed on TT were impressive.
So we went to try it & it was really good we had the pizza with Italian sausage & pepperoni & it was a 12-in I believe it was way too much for me but it was delicious we just couldn't stop eating it was like a drug it was so good honestly worth going so you're not sure where to go tonight take a drive there on Gouin Blvd in Pierrefonds I will leave the address at the end but take the time You're not sure where to go you want a pizza you want pasta you want a steak you want some chicken you want some veal you want some amazing appetizers we had the calamari & it was the best we've had & I'm not just saying that I'm honest on my reviews seeing Im a local guide level 7 with almost 1 million views of my comments & I will always speak accurately, this place is highly rated & there's a reason for it if you have a chance go look at the videos on TikTok just put Vivaldi & you'll see the chef doing his thing & whatever you do try is hot jardiniere if you're a spicy food amateur will love it anyways the food was super fresh the service was super good Jesse was amazing, the place it was very busy with people everywhere & it was very good, I highly recommend it & don't forget to leave a review be honest I left a couple of pictures so you can look at their pizza & the calamari & like I said it's worth it to try it.

Hello again,
We also got the food delivered so go see my picks to see how it looks when it arrives at your place.
Excellent Italian food, wonderfully attentive, helpful service. They never disappoint!!
Not worth the hype to be honest. The food is average & overpriced for the quality. It's all very'meh'. They are better Italian restaurants. I believe the people who loved their experience got more expensive dishes (we took the more cheaper ones) but I think an amazing five star restaurant should at least be able to make a tasty simple spaghettini bolognese.
Doesn't look upscale, not too big. The food is very good. Who likes Italian dishes, it is the place to go. It's a little hidden, but it can be found. Reservation is a must. It is not open late during workdays. I had to book for 6 persons 3 days ahead. It was worth it. One should not forget that you drink the alcohol that you bring with you. It is drink your wine type of restaurant, what makes it more affordable.
Please please please please please please please please please please pleeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase come to Vancouver & open up a satellite location here! Yes, there are a few decent Italian places but NOTHING like Vivaldi's. Thank you thank you thank you in advance!
My husband & I paid a visit to this restaurant last night.
First things first, the service is IMPECCABLE.
We reserved for 19:00, & the moment we sat down, our server almost immediately served us water & gave us a menu. A few minutes passed, then our server came again to check on us & asked us if we were ready to order, or if we needed more time (& we did need more time 😅), so he came back again to take our order (unfortunately, I don't remember our server's name, but he was efficient & knew how to do his job quite well!).
Unto the main dishes, we ordered Grilled Tunisian Octopus, & it was DELICIOUS!!! 🤤 The octopus was grilled to PERFECTION 👌 We also ordered The Fried Zucchini & Calamari combo. This appetizer was my husband's FAVORITE!!! 😁 Who knew fried zucchini would be so much better than fries!!! 🤩 The batter was not overwhelming. It was just the right amount for it to be crispy on the outside, yet still hold its form on the inside.
Shortly after our appetizer, our main dishes arrived! I got the Linguine Amalfitana (which is seafood pasta). The sauce was light & the linguine was al dente! The seafood consists of shrimps, scallops, mussels, & calamari. The scallops & calamari were cooked to perfection 👌 The shrimps were juicy 🤤 The mussels were fresh & yummy; our server even brought me a carving fork & a separate bowl for the mussels ☺? My husband chose the Tortellini Rosé & boy oh boy did he LOVE IT! It was nice & creamy, yet not overbearing. Also, we loved the flavor of the stuffed meat! We also got the Figlia Pizza on the side. The variety & the textures of the vegetables pair well with the cheese & dough.
Last but not least, DESSERT! I chose the Strawberry Almond Cheesecake, & my husband chose the Vanilla Crème Brûlé. These options were recommended by our server, & he definitely knew what he was talking about! 😄 The custard in the crème brûlé was light & not too sweet! My cheesecake was tasty, too! The strawberry syrup complimented the cheesecake so well, & the whipped cream they served with it was light & airy . It was a great way to end an awesome first visit at Vivaldi!
We 💯% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian Restaurant on the West Island! What a GEM!!! 💎
Pasta i had , linguine primavera it was descent nothing special ,& the for dessert i had cream caramel the caramel was burnt & then lemon flavour was too much!!! Tho it was really unexpected that i saw in the menu bruskets with feta cheese , which they are lovely but none true Italian restaurant would use feta , because as all we all know Italians don't use Greek cheese... it's one of the main differences between the two cuisines since more all less they have the same ingredients!!
It was Noel Party of my wife's office, we arrived a bit earlier than we should. At the time, there were no more than 5 tables, & waitres toke at least 20 minutes or more to come & get our drinks, but with the service of the drinks & all the rest of served dishes it was the same, every time they have to ask to whom belongs food or drinks, so the service was near to a complet disaster, horrible, the only thing that save them from giving lower rate it's because they were really young & kind, but very disoriented like beginners, food quality wasn't that bad but nothing extraordinary, even Tiramisu dessert, even been an Italian restaurant, I thought it could have been better, but ordinary tending to low level, the boy that opens our bottle of wine, didn't even cut the capsule correctly & put the cork with the wet down on the table just like that, but the personal was very young, so lest hope they will learn. At the end, one of my table mates order cream as dessert & it was flan but I didn't recognize what exactly was, so I messed, because I love it, so many ways to called, flan, caramel custard, or even the popular known name in Italian language. Maybe I will not come back to the place, I wish good luck to them & have a merry Christmas
