We went here for Christmas Eve dinner & opted for their special holiday menu. The restaurant had a great atmosphere & was understandably very busy for the occasion. Overall, the food was good, & the meat was definitely the highlight of the meal-perfectly cooked exactly how I requested & full of flavour. You can really tell that meat is their strong point & what they do best.
Service was a bit on the slower side, but given that it was Christmas Eve & the restaurant was packed with a special menu running, it was completely understandable. Desserts were enjoyable, although the crème brûlée was slightly lacking in flavour compared to the rest of the meal. Still, the quality of the meat more than made up for it.

Je suis allé plusieurs fois au Vieux-port Steakhouse & je n'ai jamais été déçu. On se sent vraiment au vieux port avec les murs en pierre à l'intérieur & le service est excellent. Ce restaurant est une bonne alternative si vous voulez manger un bon steak sans payer le prix d'un gros steakhouse de Montréal. Ils offrent également une bonne variété de plats de qualité comme les Spaghetti au homard ou encore le tartare. À essayer au moins une fois !

Superbe restaurant avec une ambiance vraiment classe mais sans se prendre trop au sérieux. Nourriture délicieuse & service (surtout avec Jo le magicien!) exceptionnel. Superbe soirée en famille!

Dinner & ambience was amazing. Steak was delicious. We enjoyed the birthday dinner very much. Our servers Adam & Jimmy were amazing & very nice & professional! Would highly recommend

I used to rate this stakehouse with 5vstars, & it was our traditional destination for the New Year's Eve. This year, something changed:
- having booked for 10 people months in advance, we were surprised upon being seated, that the table couldn't accommodate us & we had squeeze chairs together as the restaurant did not provide an extension: they were overbooked!
- then the food, usually an amazing experience, we were served old dishes (stake, & others), & had to send them back for warmer ones. The result was warmer dishes but food that felt stale
- Then the service, while our specific attendant went out of his way to address our needs, combined with management decision to squeeze tables, probably to maximize revenue, at the cost of what was a great experience, was very disappointing, & I did not tell of where our table was located, next to an air exhaust system that kept sending cold air in our face! A location where there should not have been a table.
I did not give one star, though the experience warranted it, in the hopes that it was a one-off. Remains to be verified.

La nourriture est délicieuse & le service impeccable. Malgré une erreur dans notre commande, la serveuse a su rattraper la situation avec des excuses sincères & un dessert offert par le restaurant. L'ambiance était calme lors de notre visite, sans être trop achalandée.

We came for late night drinks on Sunday (post 9pm happy hour) & was very nice. They have classics like martinis & old fashions. The watermelon margarita is very good. The bartender was very nice, we will be back!

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience.
We clearly ordered four bone-in rib steaks, but only three were brought, & the fourth steak was incorrect. We immediately informed the server, & although they agreed to change it, the replacement took so long that I couldn't eat dinner with my family.
What made the experience worse was at checkout: I wanted to leave a $20 tip, but the server insisted that taxes had to be included & automatically applied a 15% tip, which felt unfair-especially considering the mistake & the long wait.
For a restaurant of this reputation & price level, the service was far below expectations. Very disappointing.
Update:
Following the owner's response, I contacted the restaurant by email as requested to seek a fair resolution. Unfortunately, I have not received any response so far.
