Rated it 4 stars as service was good but not excellent. Our waiter wasn't actively listening to our request, to allow us time to enjoy our cocktails with the calamari. We then asked the salads br served before the main course. We had to mention it several times so we can enjoy our steaks with our wine. The food was excellent, stakes cooked to perfection. We may have had an off night with our waiter who was very nice but not efficient.

You cannot go wrong with the Bone-in Ribeye accompanied by their signature Shallot Sauce! The truffle mushroom risotto was heavenly as well! Absolutely loved my experience here - especially with the incredible attention from our server, Monosh. Highly recommend Vieux Port Steakhouse for an elegant & elevated experience, with exceptional food & views.
Delicious steakhouse in Old Montreal. Really good poutine here too. My steak was cooked perfectly & I would recommend the three peppercorn sauce as an addition. dessert was ok, nothing special. Our waiter wasn't friendly but also not rude so I guess typical French. The atmosphere is sort of modern rustic. Overall if I'm back in the area I'll probably be back.
There's this server Alex.M, he's a great person, very kind. The food was spectacular I had steak which was very juicy. He is just a very kind & spectacular. I do recommend & I would definitely come back.

This is just a straight up honest review. We travel for work 5+ times per year & always try a steakhouse at least once. The service & atmosphere were fantastic. Monosh was our waiter & performed to the highest expectations! The food however… was disappointing. The steaks were fatty & overcooked & the lobster had been cooked to a rubbery consistency. The shrimp, albeit large, lacked any flavor. In my opinion you shouldn't go to an expensive steakhouse & think to yourself,'I need some ketchup.' The mashed potato's were the star of my dish but you don't pay $60 just for good mashed potatoes. My recommendation for the chef would be to add some seasoning to the meats & watch the cook temp. We weren't the only table complaining about the food. The one saving grace was the dessert. The carrot cake was delicious.
Great experience at Vieux Port Steakhouse. Victor was outstanding, attentive, professional, & clearly cares about the customer experience. There was a small mistake during the meal, but he handled it immediately & the team went above & beyond to make it right. That level of service stands out. Food was excellent & the overall experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend.
Baffled as to the stats here. Had a NY strip & filet mignon. Could cook better steaks at home on a skillet. Service was also non-existent. Save your money, lots of American tourists keeping this place going IMO.

enjoyed my meal & would recommend the pasta, atmosphere was really nice, waiters were really polite & fun especially gale & alex. my friends weren't a fan of the steak meal, but they didn't get much of a choice since this is a school trip, so make sure you ask for how you want your steak done. apologies to alex i hope you have a good day
Honestly very underwhelming. I visited this restaurant during December & I had an expensive mediocre meal. For the price the steak was pretty bland, the veggies were basically just steamed with minimal seasoning & the chimichurri sauce was pretty bad. The popcorn shrimp appetizer was decent but didn't feel'fancy' for an expensive steak house. Many better options in the area.
Fantastic meal, recommend the steak, all you need is a bitter knife to cut it...fabulous dessert, my wife said the chocolate mousse cake was orgazmic while i felt the apple pie was so much more than just apple pie...& Jimmy took great care of us. Highly recommended & we WILL be back!! I checked off that there was no wait, but we did have a reservation & it was 7:30pm. I assume that it may be busy earlier & would recommend a reservation which so easy to do on-line.
Best steakhouse in Montréal. The food & drinks are second to none. The server surprised me with a wine that tasted like a cup of flowers. Highly recommend! 🥰

My wife & I had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful lunch at the Vieux-Port Steakhouse on April 6/26. The atmosphere was elegant, very warm & inviting. The food was spectacular - we highly recommend the Lobster Bisque. The staff were professional & several people tended to & interacted with us, especially Camille who ensured we were pampered to with every detail of her delightful service.
Nous avons eu le plaisir de tester le brunch de Pâques au Vieux Port Steakhouse & nous en sommes globalement très satisfaits.
Le buffet à volonté offrait un très large choix, avec de quoi satisfaire tous les goûts : du sucré, du salé, une station d'omelettes préparées sur place, des salades, des fruits de mer… vraiment varié & agréable. Les plats étaient globalement corrects & bien présentés.
Le service mérite une mention spéciale : 10/10 ! L'équipe était attentive, professionnelle & très accueillante, ce qui a rendu l'expérience encore plus agréable.
Petit bémol toutefois concernant le rôti de boeuf à la coupe, que nous avons trouvé un peu trop gras à notre goût.
Mis à part ce détail, tout le reste était très bien & nous avons passé un excellent moment. Nous recommandons vivement 👍
This place was great! Food was amazing, atmosphere was spectacular. Both the steak & the pasta were delicious, & I would absolutely recommend. The cake was extremely yummy. The food here had me scraping at my plate! My server Audrey was both attentive & absolutely so sweet! 10/10, I hope to come back here in the future!
