We had a fantastic time! We came across the restaurant while being true tourists mezmorized by the character & charm of Old Montréal. Inside, we were met immediately with smiling service & seating next to the front window. The atmosphere was casual but beautiful with stunning architecture. Our server Jo was superb, assisting us in wine pairings, ensuring our glasses never emptied, & recommended his favorite dessert. He even indulged our tourist antics & humored us with our excessive appreciation of each bite. The food....incredible! The best prepared steak we have ever had, not an exaggeration! We savored each bite, eating slowly to absorb the flavors & became saddened as we consumed the last bite. Everything about our experience was marvelous, & unlike any restaurant before, in Montréal, at home or other destinations. Thank you Jo & chefs for a memorable evening.

Great environment, Jimmy was exceptional & made great suggestion's. Accommodated for diet restrictions, no complaints. Would recommend to anyone visiting looking for a good steak house.

I was really excited about this place as it was recommended by our friends, although I'm not too sure what the hype is all about. The drinks were okay, the food was kind of bland & we had to hunt for our server to ask for salt. Nobody asked how our food was either. My friends pasta had nothing but the sauce. I think based on the pricing of this restaurant we could've gotten way better service & at least seasoned steak...

Went over the weekend to the Vieux Port Steakhouse. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good steak. Our party ate the Filet Mignon & Steak Frites. Everything was super delicious. The meat served with my Steak Frites was beyond tender. Also, shout out to Audrey. If you can manage to be served by her, you will be in for an excellent service for sure. Super nice, had great conversations & good laughs with her! Thanks Audrey :-)

We are visiting Montreal from Boise, Idaho. We have never had such great experience as Kassi & Sebastian gave us this evening. I highly recommend sitting in the bar with these two fine & fun people! They are dedicated to service & ensuring a wonderful experience! This restaurant is very lucky to have two employees this dedicated!

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Vieux Port Steakhouse! The pork chop was absolutely incredible-perfectly cooked & bursting with flavor. The ambience was exquisite, creating a warm & inviting atmosphere. Our waiter, Audrey, was wonderful; her attentiveness & knowledge made the evening even more special. I paired my meal with a fantastic orange wine that added delightful complexity. The side dishes were equally impressive, each complementing the main course beautifully, from creamy mashed potatoes to vibrant seasonal vegetables. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch meal!

We had the ribeye steak & lobster we fast for it to be medium rare & it was exactly what we want, it was so good It was very tender Melt in your mouth juicy a perfect steak I'm getting hungry thinking about it. & the lobster was awesome, cooked just right it came with some very rich melted butter. Our waiter Monosh was excellent & right on when he recommend our wine seeing that we don't know French wines & it couldn't have been a better wine CHOICE. He also helped us decide on which dessert we should have. It was so yummy. Thank you Monosh for doing everything you could to make our evening perfect . Excellent dinner we really enjoyed our evening. Questions

The food & wine was amazing but the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Alin is kind, humorous & knowledgable, & Freddie is witty & charismatic, making our experience more than enjoyable & exciting! Recommend 100% for anyone looking to enjoy an evening out.

Our server, Dave Raza, was outstanding-attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu, making our evening truly special. The Ribeye I ordered was tender & flavorful, cooked exactly to my preference, while the sides were equally delicious. Dave's recommendations elevated our meal, & his professionalism made us feel genuinely welcome. We loved this restaurant on our visit to Old Montreal! We actually went twice we enjoyed it so much. Excellent food - recommend the steak frites or chicken supreme along with the Caesar salad. Service staff was wonderful - attentive & kind, speaking both French & English effortlessly. Atmosphere in the stairs dining was quiet & peaceful for our group.

Went to Montreal to celebrate our wedding anniversary & stopped at Vieux Port Steakhouse outside garden terrace just to have a drink. One night turned into 3 different visits. Elies & Kassi provided exceptional service & engagement. Would definitely recommend stopping in to enjoy their amazing service. I guarantee you will want to return.
